One of my highlights of fashion week is always the Nina Naustdal fashion show. I’ve been to a few of Nina’s shows (click here for a video reminder) and I wore one of her spectacular ready to wear dressses to a summer party I hosted at The Arch hotel in London (see photos here)
Therefore, I was very excited when Nina announced she was doing something little special for this September’s show and combining fashion, music and charity in the spectacular location of the Mayfair Hotel’s Crystal ballroom. She picked the Amy Winehouse foundation as the charity to benefit from the ticket sales and managed to persuade Amy’s dad Mitch to perform on stage during the night as well as DJ Danny Rampling. This is Nina below centre, with Mitch on the right and Mitch’s wife Jane on the right.
You always get a diverse mix of Front Row VIP guests at Nina’s shows and this time was no exception – there were models, actresses, TV presenters, DJs and artists like Pandemonia and her dog Snowy. Pandemonia is also a big supporter of Nina as I’ve seen her at a few of Nina’s events.
I really loved the outfit that WAG turned TV presenter Elen Rivas wore – a satin playsuit with classy pearls and a Chanel handbag. So chic! Where’s the playsuit from? Nina Naustdal, of course.
Sinitta opted for a 1960s style halterneck that was sparkly and bling and accessorised it with a huge smile and a glass of Champagne. She’s so nice! See a video interview I did with her at a previous show here
Lizzie Cundy went for high octane GLAMOUR. Pictured below with Alexandra Aitken, the ladies showed off just how adventurous Nina can be with colour and fabric.
So let’s move on to the models, who really showed off Nina’s talents with prints. I loved this blue maxi dress.
But I also loved the shape of the dress below. You’d need to wear it with a good pair of heels, but it looks prim from the top and properly glamorous from mid-thigh downwards.
For more of Nina’s fashion, check out her website. I can promise you there is something for everyone as you may have guessed from the photos of celebs and models in her dresses above.
Congrats to Nina on designing a fabulous collection and a fabulous night out!
