Maxi dresses are definitely in again this summer, the only difference is this year bold patterns are becoming more desirable than pastels. Kirsten models this dress beautifully, hoisting it in at her waist to emphasise her petite figure. This works really well with hour glass or pear shaped figures. If you’re less hippy though, try resting the belt at your hips to really separate your torso from your legs, this will give the impression of more curvy hips. If you’re more apple shaped, it’s usually more flattering to ditch the belt as maxi dresses suit your body type best as they are. Match with some delicate heels like Miss Stewart, or sandals for more relaxed days. Kirsten isn’t into heavy jewellery, so perhaps focus on maxi dresses with an interesting neckline to replace the need for a necklace, or simply add a necklace!
