Jennifer Aniston hated the “Rachel”
Jennifer Aniston is known for her luxurious tresses, but would the actresses famed locks been propelled to such levels of stardom had it not been for her mid 90’s haircut, named The Rachel?
Despite the huge success of the choppy layered style and a multitude of women desperate to achieve such a look (we may have dabbled somewhat‚Ķit was the 90’s after all) Jen is not a fan of the look. In fact, she hated the hairstyle.
Speaking with Allure magazine, the actress said:
“How do I say this? I think it was the ugliest haircut I’ve ever seen. What I really want to know is: how did that thing have legs?”
Seemingly, the star still holds a grudge against hairdresser Chris McMillan, who created the style, adding:
“I love Chris, and he’s the bane of my existence at the same time because he started that damn Rachel, which was not my best look.”
Whilst we are desperately envious of Jen’s long, golden brown locks, we can never say a bad word against the Rachel.
There was a time in our youths when the layered cut was our definition of beautiful and had we been more skilled with a pair of nail scissors, we might have been able to achieve such a look instead of a hacked scarecrow look that ruined our school pictures and reduce our poor mother to tears.
But enough about our difficult youth…
JLo defends using her kids in Gucci ad:
When Jennifer Lopez posed alongside her adorable twins Emme and Max in adverts for the Gucci kid’s line, people were quick to criticise such a decision, claiming that the star was using her kids to further her fame.
But Jennifer soon snipped back, claiming her decision to allow the twins to model was for the good of charity. The star claimed:
‚ÄúFrida Giannini from Gucci said she was going to launch the Gucci’s kids line, and they were going to do it in conjunction with a big donation, and they were going to do it with [the United Nations’ children’s charity] UNICEF, and would we do it?‚Äù
Still, the diva admitted that hubby Marc Anthony was not too keen on the idea at first, adding:
‚ÄúMarc didn’t really want to put the babies in an ad or anything like that. And I was just like, if they do it, I’d want to do it with my kids because it is for the kids. That’s the connection. That’s what makes it real. We don’t really parade them around like that, so it was for a good cause.‚Äù
Fair enough. We shan’t dare question the force that is JLo from now on.
Kim Cattrall new face of Olay:
Kim Cattrall is the new face of Olay’s Total Effects 7-in-1 Anti-Aging Body Wash & Body Lotion and considering the actress always manages to defy her 54 years, we’d say she’s a damn good fit.
The adverts have been praised for not over airbrushing the images, as Kim is pictured with visible lines and wrinkles. Proving that you can age gracefully and still look bleeding hot.
Speaking about the product, Kim said:
It’s important that I keep my body skin looking smooth and radiant. Now that I’ve swapped to Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Advanced Anti-Aging Body Wash and Body Lotion, it’s never been easier to achieve firm skin that looks younger after just one shower.‚Äù
