Backstage At The Vinspired Awards With The Saturdays

Camden’s legendary Roundhouse opened its doors once again last night to host the inspirational Vinspired national awards with the likes of stars such as The Saturdays, 4 music presenter Will Best and Made In Chelsea’s Gabriella Ellis and Sophia Sassoon.

We caught up with The Saturdays minus the heavily pregnant 1/5, Rochelle Wiseman who is now on maternity leave after the talented band celebrated their first number 1 in the charts with the catchy ‘What About Us’ featuring Sean Paul with a bash at top London club, Amika.

Thanking all their fans for voting to get their single to the top of the charts after 5 years of top ten hits failing to make it to the number 1 spot. And not forgetting the young inspirational people at the awards that night. The self-proclaimed fashionistas who admitted to spending the early hours of Monday morning dancing on the bar – how VIP is that – told us a vital secret to their stylish style that always has them standing out.

Both Frankie and Mollie who are most noticed for her chic and high-street style told the LiveLikeaVIP team that it is all about colour for them. And The Saturdays love colour and to stand out just like The Saturdays do each and everyday, make sure you wear colour this Spring – so get out you’re metallic and neon brights this Spring girls and get colourful!

The unforgettable – for her high notes and turbulent relationship with Ollie Locke – former Made In Chelsea star Gabriella Ellis with model and TV presenter Amal Fashanu looked angelic in white French Connection dresses – she loves the high street- praised Professor Green for finally popping the question to fellow MIC star Millie Mackintosh yesterday while dining at her favorite restaurant in au Paris!

 

Not sure if she’d be invited to the glamorous future nuptials – the upcoming singer, who plans to unveil her latest work in the near future, wished the couple the best of luck and guaranteed to us, that it is definitely true love – just what we love to hear. Happy days!

VIP Awards: The London Lifestyle Awards 2012

Celebrity Awards | London Lifestyle Awards

Forget the Oscar’s and the BAFTA’s, the only award Londoner’s really care about is The London Lifestyle Awards. Last night the awards were hosted at the super luxury venue of the  Hurlingham Club in Fulham, where the creme de la creme of London celebrated their success.

Although Zoe didn’t win the Personality of the Year award, (she lost out to Boris Johnson) we are so proud that she was nominated with such inspirational personalities. If you are going to lose to someone, then the Mayor of London is pretty acceptable.

Not only were there business men and women, celebrities lined the red carpet to celebrate everyone’s success at making London the best city in the world. Made in Chelsea star Gabriella Ellis showed off her super toned thighs in a maxi thigh split dress. The singer said  the new series of the reality show will have a lot of surprises for the fans and she may even get back together with an old flame – surely not Ollie?!

Simon Cowell’s BFF Sinitta left the exotic plants at home and covered her body up with a floor length gold dress. The 80s singer looks as good today as she did twenty years ago – she told us drinking 3 litres of water a day and pumpkin seeds is her key to looking youthful.

Olympic champion Dame Kelly Holmes rocked the red carpet in a gorgeous monochrome dress. The super fit British champion said she couldn’t be happier with how the Olympics has given way to a new found love of fitness. Dame Holmes advises anyone who wants to get fit to consult a personal trainer first, fill your diet up with fruit and vegetables and cut out sugar – what, no more cupcakes?! We had better hit the gym then.

Blue boys Simon Webb and Anthony Costa looked dapper in their suits, we even think they outshone their girlfriends. The pop star lads said they have been working on some new material with Lee and Duncan and may even release some new material in 2013. Please say there will be a tour!

Michelle Heaton put her best foot forward last night even though she has had one of the toughest times in her life. The Liberty X singer recently discovered she has an 80% chance of developing breast cancer and has made the life changing decision to undergo a mastectomy to eliminate her chance of developing the life threatening disease. We think you are incredibly brave Michelle and you truly are an inspiration to women across the world.

Our website editor Zoe looked jaw droppingly sexy in this glittery full length gown. Although Zoe missed out on an award, she is still a winner in our eyes. Congratulations for the nomination Zoe, there is always next year.

VIP Beauty: We Test The ghd Air Hairdryer

There’s nothing like a good blowdry to make you instantly feel more VIP, so I have some news that may put a smile on your face. Ladies, it is now even easier to achieve a salon-looking blowdry at home thanks to the new ghd air hairdryer.

Ok, I cheated in the first instance as I went to a pre-fashion week pop-up salon hosted by ghd and got a professional blow dry (as you can see above). BUT then I was talked through all the features and I am almost lost for words.

It comes with a 3m long cable, which I like because my mirror is nowhere near my plug socket. It has a massive 2100w voltage so you can get volume right up to the root of your hair to make it big and bouncy (tres VIP).  And the concentrated nozzle means that you can hold it up to the air as you brush so it goes nice and sleek and frizz free.

Since practising at home, I can confirm that it is better than any other dryer I have tried to date. It’s not 100% like what the experts did for me but it is a million times better than what I used to do when attempting to style myself.

I’m so impressed that I am going to record a video of myself using it. The camera doesn’t lie! Watch this space, I’m off to find my tripod.

The Gossip: (1) Caroline Flack was the host for the evening and seemed to be putting on a brave face since her split from Harry Styles. It is rumored that the Xtra Factor presenter was banned from speaking to her ex-boyfriend at the Brits last week.

(2) TOWIE star Lauren Pope, was the resident DJ last night at  Sky Bar. The reality star was getting everyone in the mood to party and by the end of the evening had most of the stars cutting some shapes on the dance floor. After recovering from having her PIP implants removed, the Essex star told us that she cannot wait to get some bigger boobs. Hmmm, surely you have learned your lesson about fake boobs Lauren?!

(3) I’m a Celebrity star Jessica-Jane Clement looked amazing last night as she supported her celebrity hairdresser boyfriend, Lee Stafford. The reality star and model confessed she will be in another reality show about her wedding. Oh dear God!!

(4) Ex-MIC stars Gabriella and Funda were seen gossiping away at the event. Gabi was overheard telling everyone about the new series of the reality show, and told us there are some really big characters rocking the Spencer and Caggie love boat.
