Good morning VIPs! How are you feeling this morning? I went out last night and I have to say it’s been tough to get my brain into gear today but there is one subject that never fails to lift me up and that is getting a bit of gossip in my life. From looking at the ups and downs of Cheryl Tweedy’s love life to questioning Robert Pattinson’s judgement to lusting over some fabulous dresses and maybe checking out a gorgeous celebrity in a suit – get yourself a cup of tea and indulge. AMAL FASHNAU (AND ME) AT THE NINA NAUSTDAL 2nd ANNIVERSARY

Last night, Norwegian fashion designer to the stars Nina Naustdal toasted the 2nd anniversary of her shop in Knightsbridge. From TV presenter Amal Fashanu (above with me) to singer and star of The Voice Nate James and soul diva Mica Paris – this was one glam event. And there’s more cool stuff to come as Amal told me she’s launching her own fashion label called Black Heart and promised to give Live Like a VIP an exclusive very soon. I cannot wait!

CHERYL COLE AND TRE HOLLOWAY LOOK LOVED UP IN LA

Cheryl is well and truly over the loser that is Ashley Cole but she falls in love quickly. Not content with taking thing slowly and just enjoying a walk in the sun with her new beau Tre Holloway, there are rumours they’re buying a house together. Secrets Of A VIP Hen Do…Stress-Free

How do you make planning a hen do easier? I copied what the celebs do and tried to avoid ending up as stressed as the woman in the photo below…

Recently I got asked a question that made me want to scream no with every inch of my body and run to my bed and hide under the duvet. ‘Will. You. Help. Me. Plan. My. Hen. Night?’ Eight words that made me want to emigrate to another country. I said yes.

My friend, who wants to remain anonymous, has been there for me for years. I reckon she’d have said yes to anything I asked her and besides, I’m meant to know what I’m doing when it comes to organising parties. But hen dos are another level entirely!

What did I do? First of all, I’m a blogger and a journalist. What’s the first thing we do when confronted with a task? Wikipedia! Ok, that might not give me much luck. Google it was then. Type in Hen Stuff into Google and the first thing that comes up after the paid for searches is www.henstuff.co.uk. I ended up being there for quite a long time. There is something on there for all tastes. If you want a super tacky blow-up willies, bridesmaids veils, badges, t-shirts and even fancy dress hen-do then you’ll find that on there. But you’ll also find some classy items at really affordable prices.

As you can see in the photo above, I ordered some angel wings. I wanted a classy way of making everyone know who was the bride to be. None of this veil nonesense! And I also got A LOT of confetti. Not to throw over her now, honest, but what makes an average room, even a hotel room, look miles better is a lot of pink and red shiny confetti. And lets face it, if you’re staying in a hotel room then you don’t have to clear up afterwards!

I was also inspired by some neon face paint. I hadn’t planned to get this but it shines under UV! Imagine the bride to be and the other hens don’t know this and think it’s a large neon eye crayon…until they get to the nightclub. It’s not just the stags that have tricks up their sleeve, you know and this is pretty harmless.

So how much was all of the above? £20.04 and if you spend over £20 delivery from Hen Stuff  is free. I think I got tons of items for that amount – I’m so impressed!

The hen do is scheduled for the end of May so I have a bit of time to decide whether I want a spa kind of hen do like the Saturdays singer Rochelle Humes. Maybe a day at the spa as I want to put those neon face paints to good use and then a night in the club, Cheryl Cole style. The reason I say Cheryl Cole is because I was a journalist at the Mail on Sunday when she had her hen do before marrying Ashley Cole, and I ended up dancing on the tables in a club called Umbaba with her mum, (It’s so long ago the club doesn’t exist any more but I’ll NEVER forget that night!)

Get Cheryl Cole’s Look For Less At The Girls Aloud End Of Tour Party

Cheryl Cole never seems to get it wrong. And the white and nude number that she wore last night in Manchester to celebrate the end of the Girls Aloud ‘Ten’ tour and their FINAL ever show – sobs- was another to add to her list of great dresses.

 

We found a dress near enough EXACT to the style of Cheryl’s, down to the black one-shoulder strap to the length and cut on the legs minus the nude detail and that hefty price that Cheryl most likely paid for hers.

 

Marked down from £85 to £34 from Hybrid Fashion this certainly is a similar style to one Cheryl wore last night with an added detail of sexy but still elegant open back which is a stand-out feature on this lovely detailed dress – and we love that price!

Though we loved Cheryl’s gold-embellished sandal heels, for this dress we think a pair of plain but colourblock sandal heels would’ve finished the look off perfectly.

 

These Topshop Ready Side Buckle Sandals are both black and white and still able to stand out on your’re feet minus the gold and bold embellishment. They’re only £60 and would be so much easier to use again and again than Cheryl’s pair – that certainly fits our budget!

Haus Of Hair Salon: Cheryl Cole Blowdry

Are you stuck in a rut when it comes to visiting hair salons? When was the last time you tried out a new hairdresser?

If you stick to the same old place you could be missing out and wasting money. But I do know its scary to leave someone you trust as you could end up looking worse and when it comes to hair, if it feels flat then you do too.

Therefore I’ll try out new places and let you know how I get on. This week, Haus Of Hair in South London.

VIP ENDORSEMENTS:

The salon uses hair products by Alterna, which is endorsed by Katie Holmes. No matter what you think about her taste in men, you can’t deny she has great hair. They are all  made out of natural ingredients and some are very VIP – containing caviar!

Stylist Fabian, who tended to my tresses, has worked at several of London’s most famous salons before finding the courage to team up with his partner Jarmane and open this gorgeous bijoux boutique salon near Vauxhall in South London.

OUR EXPERIENCE

Have you ever looked at a photo of a celebrity in a magazine and had hair envy? I do it all the time, usually when I see photos of Cheryl Cole, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and ask Fabian if he could make me look like Cheryl. What do you think?

I was so impressed by the speediness of the service. I had a party to attend later that evening and when I told him I had to be in and out in 45 minutes he did not waste any time. He totally ‘got’ what I meant when I asked him to make me look like Cheryl, led me over to the wash basins and as an added treat made me de-stress with a head massage where his fingers kneaded the knots of tension in my neck. Wow! I’d come back for the head massage alone.

I was able to check my emails as he got to work thanks to the speedy WiFi and admired the plush furnishings with lots of gold. But most of all, I loved the end result. Here it is in full:

 

SUMMARY: 9.5 /10. This has everything I look for in a salon- great prices (with a blowdry starting at £16) – friendly and quick working staff, WiFi and decor that makes you feel like a Princess. The only thing (for now) that prevents it from a perfect 10 is the South London location as I realise it’s not always realistic to expect people to tackle their prejudices and travel to Vauxhall. I say if you go then you won’t regret it! 

As an added bonus, you get to play with the super cute dog owned by Fabian. How cute is he?

Between attending the London BFI Film Festival and  getting a little bit carried away with National Chocolate Week events, we simply have not had the time to go to every party. Never fear though, we have spotted the likes of Cheryl Cole and Keira Knightley to name but a few. Keira attended the unveiling of the gown she wore for her role as Anna Karenina at the V&A on Tuesday night. As part of the Hollywood Costume exhibition, we wonder if the British actress had any wedding dress inspiration from the luxurious gowns?

(3) Fearne Cotton

We spotted Fearne Cotton looking beautiful in a white furry coat on her way to the Radio One studios. The glowing mummy to be has admitted she is starting to find it difficult to fit in her clothes and ay have to do a big maternity shop soon. We bet she will make maternity look super stylish.

(4) Katie Price

Katie Price was seen hanging out with X-Factor hopeful Rylan Clark at the Corinthia Hotel last night. The glamour model who struck up a friendship with the Essex boy after he appeared on one of her reality shows said she is backing Rylan to win all the way. Take that Gary!

(5) Tulisa

Tulisa seemed to put all the X-Factor backlash behind her and stepped out in trendy Mayfair celeb haunt The Arts Club on Tuesday night. The singer and judge looked a million miles away from her normal self and seemed to leave the super short and tight dresses behind, along with her false eyelashes and extravagant make-up. We approve Tulisa.

Sometimes there are far too many celeb parties in London than there is time to attend them all. This week has been pretty jam packed with stars emerging from every corner you turn. As we couldn’t be at every party this week, we have listed the top celebrity sightings to whet your star spotting appetites.

(1) Karin Park at Swarovski Crystallized Lounge

Scandinavia’s hottest new talent Karin Park teamed up with Swarovski Crystallized and not only modelled the new collection of jewels, but sang at the event too. The stunning singer showed off the key season trends and showed us why she is so hot in Sweden. Karin performed her synth driven goth-pop single ‘Thousand Loaded Guns,’ and we have a feeling she is going to be MASSIVE – watch this space.

(2) Cheryl Cole at Roka

Cheryl Cole was pictured leaving trendy restaurant Roka on Tuesday night with a new fella. The Call My Name singer is allegedly dating her dancer Tre Holloway and we have to say, the pair looked pretty loved up as they left the restaurant.

(3) Reggie Yates and the Sugababes at Boujis

Radio One DJ Reggie Yates partied the night away on Tuesday with the Sugababes. The DJ struck up a friendship with the girls when they first formed back in the late 90s. Reggie and the girls were there to celebrate the closing of the club and its massive refurbishment which is set to be extravagant. We cannot wait!

(4) Rita Ora at ITV Studios

Jay-Z’s new protégé Rita Ora has been doing the television rounds this week, all in the aid of promoting her new album, ‘Ora’. We are loving Rita’s outfits this week and her hot pink shoes are to DIE FOR.

(5) Irina Shayk, Mark Wright and Kelly Brook at One Mayfair

Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend Irina Shayk looked pretty cosy with Essex Lothario Mark Wright. The model attended the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 at One Mayfair on Wednesday night along with the likes of Kylie Minogue and Victoria Pendleton. Busty model, Kelly Brook also attended and gave Irina a run for her money in the style stakes. No wonder why Mark looks like a happy man in this pic.

The ex-reality panel judge looked a fresh faced as ever and has said her super glossy lips are due to the new Ruby and Millie gloss she has just treated herself to. Next stop for us is definitely Ruby and Millie.

Made in Chelsea star joined Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and presenter Laura Whitmore to launch the luxury mobile phone companies new Constellation handset in aid of charity Smile Train. Vertu will provide free corrective surgery to a child with a cleft lip or palate for every Constellation Smile handset sold. Amber looked lovely in her casual, chic outfit and we are super jel of her tousled hair. The reality star said she has just bought some Mark Hill curl and shine tongs which give her the surfer look.

After tearing up the stage at the Capital FM Summertime Ball, Katy Perry partied the night away with alleged boyfriend, Robert Ackroyd.
