Hi VIPs! Do you want to look like a celebrity this Christmas party season? Do you like taking risks? If so, it’s time to try the jumpsuit.
Here are 3 ways the celebs are wearing them – in white, strapless and with long sleeves:
Cara Delevingne (strapless)
The supermodel wears a lot of jumpsuits, but one of my favourites is this strapless black jumpsuit as it’s daring and bold – just like Cara. It’s also clearly a jumpsuit that you’d wear on a night out! It’s like the Miss Selfridge bandeau tux tie waist jumpsuit – £55 fromVery.co.uk.
Malin Ackerman (white)
Malin wears a white jumpsuit with a plunging v-neck detail. It reminds me of the Skyla white choker v-neck jumpsuit, which is an absolute steal at just £15 from Miss Pap.
Nicole Scherzinger (long sleeves)
The X Factor judge always looks gorgeous and what I like about her long sleeve jumspuit is that you can dress it up or down. You can wear it to meetings or you can wear it on a night out. A similar one is the wrap long sleeve jumpsuit from Missguided, which is also a bargain at £18.
Hi VIPs! We’ve reached the end of the first working week of August – how did that happen? Hopefully, you’ve had a good one. August is technically holiday season so whatever you’re doing, you’re beating those that are switching off for the summer.
Let’s have a look at what the celebs have been doing this week, whether it’s work or play:
Cara Delevingne works her stuff at the Suicide Squad film premiere
Hi VIPs! Tuesday is traditionally the day that the LLAVIP team look at trends and we’ve tried to look for one thing the celebs have in common but the only thing that stands out is that lots went to Glastonbury. However, it’s pretty timely as there are lots of other festivals coming up so we can look to the Glastonbury stars for inspiration.
Hi VIPs! How was your weekend? The MTV movie awards took place in LA over the weekend and there were some seriously stunning outfits! To be honest, the awards themselves were of little consequence as we’ve already had the Oscars and the BAFTAs this year, but the actors and the actresses looked amazing.
Did you watch the awards on TV? If not, you can view it on demand on your Sky+ box. These are some of our personal favourites, in terms of giving us inspiration for party outfits:
Hi VIPs! Did you have a good weekend? It’s the start of February, which means two things. Firstly, if you didn’t quite stick to your New Year goals in January then why not start again? The first of the month is the ideal time to plan goals so you can be as fabulous as possible over the coming weeks. Secondly, crack up the Champagne as dry January is officially over!
Lots of celebs seemed to be indulging in Champagne / cocktails over the weekend. Here’s what went on so you know what the VIPs are up to:
(1) Daisy Lowe celebrated her birthday at Tape London – crazy dress and crazy hair!
(2) Rita Ora also attended Tape and looked modest in comparison to Daisy.
(3) What’s happened to Grimmy’s hair? Why’s it pink? He got noticed at Daisy’s party!
(4) Cara Delevingne took her dog to work in Paris. She acts drunk even though she’s not! Cara’s promoting Zoolander 2.
(5) CBB’s Jeremy McConnell came out of the house on Friday night. Without doubt, he’d have celebrated at the weekend!
So if the celebs are letting their hair down, you should be too. What fun have you got planned?
Have a great day and we’ll be back with some more goss tomorrow. We’ll look closely at all the fashion from the SAG awards to get some party dress inspiration!
As we all lead increasingly busy lives, it’s more important than ever to take a bit of time out to pamper yourself. Do you have a favourite salon? Have you ever been to one of Edward James London’s locations in Clapham or Putney? It may turn out that Edward James London becomes your favourite salon after your first visit or at least one of your top three hair and beauty hangouts.
I visited the Putney salon, which is an oasis of calm and relaxation from the moment you walk in. As I closed the door and breathed in the fresh scents from Aveda candles and Aveda shampoo, my tense shoulders dropped and the noise and the stress from the busy London streets felt like a world away.
And that was just the start as further relaxation came from the stacks of up-to-date magazines and a glass of bubbly as I had the consultation. I was there to try the Top Coat treatment, which promises up to six weeks of shiny hair. The treatment adds protein bonds to the hair initially followed by lots of natural oil and more proteins. It is 99% naturally derived so you get the shine without the harsh artificial chemicals.
I was delighted with the results, which are quite dramatic from this ‘Before and After’ picture.
It took 90 mins in total for the treatment to be left on the hair and for a bouncy blow dry after, but I had a lot of fun in the salon fuelled with Champagne, snacks and good chat from the hair stylist, Katie, who you can see in the second picture below.
Edward James is a real innovator in the hair industry as he developed the much applauded British Blow Dry earlier this year – a natural take on the smoothing Brazilian blowdry.
Also, the celebs absolutely adore him. Cara Delevingne is one of his clients and she’s notoriously hard to please. However, the good thing about Edward and his team is that all ladies are made to feel like a superstar when they’re in the salon and everyone leaves with swishy, shiny model hair. Including me!
PS You can combine your hair appointment with a massage or beauty treatment in the Moroccan inspired downstairs salon. I tried a mini massage before my treatment and the combination of the natural oils and firm touch was heavenly.
Hi VIPs! In terms of weather, London Fashion Week has been a washout but in terms of celebs and parties it’s been a huge blowout! On Monday night, the hottest party of the night was LOVE magazine’s party held at LouLou’s club in Mayfair, while the show of the day was Burberry.
Let’s have a look and who attended what and what they wore to do it in. Be warned – the LOVE Magazine party had some extravagant outfits!
From left to right there’s Suki Waterhouse, Sienna Miller, Kate Moss,Cara Delevingne, St Vincent and Naomie Harris. The Live Like a VIP team like Suki’s long denim dress the best.
Harry Styles (scary suit!)
Who do you think looked best?
Now have a great day and we’ll be back tomorrow with some more fun celeb news.
Cara Delevingne may have quit modelling for acting but she hasn’t lost any sense of style. In fact, I’d even say is looking better than usual as when she was in front of the lens all day she ended up slouching around in jogging bottoms and crop tops in her down time.
As she left a hotel in New York, where she’s staying with her girlfriend St Vincent, Cara looked every inch a glam Hollywood icon. The Live Like a VIP team think she resembles Nicole Kidman with her sleek blowdry and classic feminine style – what do you think?
To copy Cara’s look for less, you can get a similar lace blouse for just £10.70 from BangGood.com
The right trousers are also key to this look. Cara’s are three-quarter length with a large waistband (so you can tuck in the blouse). Try the Oasis cotton sateen belted trouser – just £32!
Did you ever imagine you could copy a supermodel’s look and have change from £50? Go do it!
There are levels of VIP. You can have the best table in a club but it’s only as good as the club itself. In Monaco for the Grand Prix, there are sliding levels of luxury.
You can watch the action from the grandstand tiered seating, from a hotel or an apartment or from a yacht. The celebrities do yachts. Liam Payne from One Direction, Cristiano Ronaldo and Cara Delevingne were all on super yachts, surrounded by luxury and hundreds of boat crew to cater to their every whim.
By day, there are qualifiers and races and by night, there’s pure decadence. This is what I witnessed on the Mojo yacht that I visited.
My favourite part of the boat was the top deck, which was a chill out area. The pod seat which swings round to face the harbour that I’m sitting on was surrounded by blankets and beanbags. I could have slept outside on those if it was slightly warmer – they were that comfy!
I was in Monaco after the Cannes film festival, which I covered for the Mail on Sunday. (Photographed below is Mail on Sunday diary editor Charlotte Griffiths and myself). Check out our report here.
If you’re thinking about visiting Monaco for the F1, this is what I suggest:
(1) Be prepared to do lots of walking. The roads are closed off because of the F1 cars, which means you will never find a taxi. Take flat shoes!
(2) It’s noisier than you think. You need a good quality pair of over-ear headphones – in-ear headphones are not enough.
(3) Use BBC Sport to work out what is going on. There are a lot of odd rules about tyre changes and safety cars and experienced F1-goers don’t like to be spoken to in case they miss anything.
(4) 68 laps takes ages! Make sure your phone has plenty of battery so you can upload your Moanco photos to Facebook and sit back and count the likes. Counting the likes is more enjoyable than counting the laps.
(5) If you want to celeb-spot, head to the old port by Monaco Yacht club. They all have to get on and off somewhere. The Fairmont hotel is also worth visiting as it’s just above the hairpin bend, so the place for celebs who know their stuff.
