For all of you lucky enough to attend BBC Radio One’s Hackney Weekend festival you will know what a spectacular show it was. And for all of you missed out on tickets we have got the best pictures and gossip for you, it will be like you were there. Hackney’s local girl, Leona Lewis kicked off the festival and debuted new single Come Alive and belted out one of our fave weepy songs, Bleeding Love. The X-Factor winner was joined by rapper Wretch 32 for a Live Lounge worthy cover of Diddy Dirty Money’s hit Coming Home. Hackney’s most famous singer looked stunning, we love her style so much, you need to check out our fashion post dedicated to Ms Lewis.

Another Hackney resident, Professor Green opened the main stage on day two of the festival. Pro Green sang new single Remedy and whipped the crowd into a frenzy. The rapper was being watched in the wings by super posh girlfriend Millie Mackintosh, who was clearly enjoying her experience of the marshes, she Tweeted: ‘Loving the vibe at #hackneyweekend!’ We bet a year ago, Chelsea girl Millie probably didn’t think she would be even stepping a pedicured tow in Hackney, let alone dating one of the residents.

The Voice judge Jessie J looked and sounded amazing. The Domino singer sang some of her best hits and got the crowd singing along with her so much we couldn’t make out who was who. The quirky Essex girl wore one of the best outfits of the weekend and we LOVE her studded Lita boots by Jeffrey Campbell boots. We had discovered you can buy his creations at Office, so get yourself down there after work before they sell out.

Tinie Tempah gave an amazing performance of Frisky and even had the crowd singing his own theme song. The rapper, who was wearing some of his own line of clothing, Disturbing London, looked pretty damn cool, and gave Jay -Z a run for his money. His t-shirt is going on the boyfriends to buy list.

Jay-Z was the artist everyone was waiting for, and boy did he give a performance of a lifetime. He opened his set with Run This Town and was joined by Rihanna, who wasn’t supposed to hit the stage until the next day. The pair gave a legendary performance and then Jay was joined by M.I.A for a rendition of Paper Planes. The rapper then continued his set with past hits such as 99 Problems, Girls, Girls, Girls, and Bonnie and Clyde, (he even had his own Bonnie in the audience – see below).

Beyonce’s dressed down cool has given us the inspiration to buy ourselves a new hoodie today – if she can make it look cool, it’s good enough for us.

Will.i.am gave a crazy performance of some of his hits. The Voice judge said he took his inspiration from 80s film Tron to come up with his futuristic set. We sometimes wonder what goes through Will’s head, and we think it looks a little like the above – crazy.

Another one of Jay-Z’s girls rocked the Hackney stage on Saturday. London girl Rita Ora, who has shot to fame at a rapid rate this past year performed number one hit R.I.P and Hot Right Now. Although her outfit choice wasn’t too hot, we loved Rita’s make-up and the blonde singer said she is loving MAC’s Russian Red lippy. Next stop for us has got to be MAC this lunchtime.

Sean Paul gave an amazing performance, which we were lucky enough to be at the front for – look how close we are!

Rizzle Kicks have not just got the freshest sound at the moment, but they are some of the cutest boys in the business. The Brighton lads performed some of their recent hits including When I was a Youngster, and they told us that they couldn’t quite believe they got to play at the gig – awww bless them.

Rihanna closed the Sunday night show, and the entire weekend with style. The Rude Boy singer closed the show with Only Girl in the World, Disturbia, S&M, Birthday Cake, What’s My Name, Rude Boy and Love the Way You Lie. It was the performance to end them all, and the singer looked super hot too in her leather and fishnets combination. To top it all off, Jay-Z joined her on stage for another performance of Run This Town and Umbrella – as massive Jay-Z fans we were spoiled rotten. We love Rihanna, and after watching her yesterday, we are buying her album for the office.

This was definitely the festival of the year and the Live Like a VIP team had such a ball, we had to show you a pic of Zoe having the time of her life. Who went to the marshes at the weekend? We want to hear your stories on our Facebook page.
