Video Picks Of The Week – Grammy Awards 2014 winners

This week us VIP’s are loving the great music tracks by a few Grammy Award winners.  Pharrell, Daft Punk, Lorde, Alicia Keys and more. Take a look at our pick of our favourite Grammy winners this week below.

Daft Punk Feat Pharrell – Get Lucky (Record of the year)

It’s not surprising that this song won record of the year considering the amount we’ve heard it in the last few months. Despite jointly winning this prestigious award the main talking point of the night was Pharrell’s quirky hat. Pharrell’s fashion choice was so popular it has its own twitter account, take a look here – the ‘hat’ has over 18,000 followers.

Lorde – Royals (Song of the year)

Newbie Ella Yelich O’Connor (AKA Lorde) won her first Grammy for song of the year. The New Zealand native looked shocked and happy to have won and she’s only 17 years old – WOW! Take a look at Lorde’s Grammy performance of Royals below.

Alicia Keys – Girl on Fire (Best RnB album)

This girl is on fire! Alicia was looking hot on the red carpet in this cobalt blue dress. Alicia deservingly picked up the award for best RnB album of the year, beating off competition from smooth operator John Legend. Take a look at her video for Girl on Fire below.

Beyonce Featuring Jay Z – Drunk Love

We can’t mention the Grammys without mentioning our favourite performance of the night from power couple Jay Z and Beyonce. Take a look at their racy performance of Drunk Love below.

VIP Fitness Video: Watch Us Try A Barretoned Class

Ballet is a lot tougher than what it looks! This may be why a new fitness craze is sweeping celebrity land – the ballet barre class. If you haven’t heard of it yet than get with the program because so many stars in New York and LA have been tweeting or instagramming statuses of how they are doing it…and then showing off about the results.

Slowly but surely the craze is coming to the UK and one of the specialist studios in London for it is Barretoned. I went along to show you what it’s really like inside a class and what an amazing figure you can get from it if the long, lean torsos of the teachers are anything to go by.

If you like what you see, visit the Barretoned website or follow them on Twitter @Barretoned

PS I’ll bring you a new Get a VIP Body video every week so come back every Friday…watch and enjoy!

Video: Lady Gaga’s London Gig Rehearsal

Lady Gaga’s London gig was streamed live last night on iTunes – did you see it? If not, you need to follow me on Twitter (@zoegriffin) as I did tell you in advance.

Or you could listen to it again below…In fact, listen to it as you read this post to relive the vibe!

The gig, which took place in Camden’s Roundhouse, was INSANE! It was about an hour of crazy dance routines and brand new material from Gaga, all of which is taken from her new album #ARTPOP, which will be released on 11 November.

But because we can never have enough Mother Monster and because the Live Like a VIP team are fascinated to see what she looks like au naturel, we were excited to see some photos and video she posted on her website and YouTube before the gig, showing what her preparations were like. I take it it must have been pretty hot and sweaty as she wore her underwear instead of clothes!

With her hair swept up into a messy bun (and none of the weird seashells or extensions we saw recently) Gaga and her dances ran through the moves for the key tracks. In the photos above and below, they’re doing a song called MANiCURE.

We’ve also got a video for MANiCURE, which you can see below. It sounded a lot better on the night, but Gaga didn’t want to give away too much in advance. Just enough to get people interested…and then make them confused and wanting more.

What did you think? Crazy, right? In Spetember, there will be live music on iTunes every night from different artists. Make sure you visit the iTunes store on your Mac or download the App for your phone for the latest schedule.

Just make sure if you end up dancing round your living room to the gigs, you delete any photos that have you looking like this:
