Designer Mouret did not help Victoria:

If you find yourself interviewing designer Roland Mouret (which admittedly is not a situation we imagine many of us to find ourselves in but go with it) you may want to steer clear of any questions that insinuate an involvement with Victoria Beckham’s collections.

When Victoria’s designs started to make waves in the fashion industry, gaining a series of celebrity fans and the respect of the fashion elite, insiders started questioning how much help Mrs Beckham may have had from her designer friends.

One brave journalist decided to pluck up the courage to ask designer Roland Mouret the truth regarding close friend Victoria Beckham’s success, to which he responded:

‚ÄúOh my God, that question! Politicians, movie stars, it’s always the first things they want to know and I’m like, why? Why would I want to design a collection for Victoria Beckham?

‚ÄúYes she is a friend and yes she asks for advice and yes I told her the name of a pattern cutter, but she has lots of friends she asks for advice ‚Äì Marc Jacobs. I like to help people that’s all.‚Äù

Well maybe that serves us right for doubting Victoria in the first place. After all, if you do spend most of your time shopping and posing in stylish get ensembles, it’s likely you will develop a knowledge of style and good design. We’re sorry you were ever doubted Vic.

Kate Middleton gets the pop art treatment:

Tatler magazine have chosen Kate Middleton as their latest cover star. However, rather than asking the royal to be to pose for the cover, the magazine have taken an already existing image of Kate and transformed it into an Andy Warhol style piece of art.

Similar to Warhol’s Monroe piece, the cover shows an image of Kate replicated in a number of colourful designs. The issue is said to be a collector’s issue, celebrating the royal engagement.

Price William is also given the Warhol treatment inside the magazine, which features a 19 page special on the royal wedding.

Cheryl Cole talks fashion with Elle:

Cheryl graces the cover of February’s Elle and behind the scenes of the shoot, spills the beans on her style.

Despite committing many a fashion faux pas on X Factor last year, we were still all ears to hear about Cheryl’s views on fashion.

Despite her fortune, she proves that she really is still a down to earth Geordie girl, commenting on the high price of designer labels:

‚ÄúI love Balmain but that’s just being ridiculously spoilt. I always find that I really love their stuff.

I appreciate fashion, it’s not something I worry about or something I strive to be but it’s definitely a massive part of who I am and what I do.‚Äù

Beyonce walks in secret Tom Ford show:

Is there no end to Beyonce’s talents? When she’s not reaching impossibly high notes or throwing fierce shapes on stage she’s putting her stunning looks to good use.

The singer walked in Tom Ford’s secret presentation of his first womenswear collection for this spring/summer and stomped her way down the catwalk like a true pro.

Beyonce, sporting a fabulous afro do and sequinned gold number, was also joined by some other famous faces on the runway, including Julianne Moore, Daphne Guinness, Rita Wilson, Karen Elson and Chanel Iman.

Check out footage from the show and see if you can spot Beyonce’s sister sitting front row. Almost clones of each other, good looks clearly run in the Knowles family!

Alexa Chung aims for a sexy look in 2011:

We are huge fans of Alexa Chung’s style. Always appearing as if it’s taken no longer than half asleep flick through her wardrobe to pick her red carpet look, the style icon always manages to look amazing and leave us green with envy.

Famed for once admitting her style was “schoolboy meets Granny”, Alexa rarely raunches it up in the style stakes and seems more at home in a socks and sandal ensemble and sundress.

However, the star has stated that her look will undergo a slight make over as she plans for 2011 to be much sexier.

Speaking with Contact Music, Alexa said:

“In 2011 I want to be a bit more demure, or maybe go for a sexy look.”

We just hope by sexy she means accents of on trend lace and leather and perhaps some killer sky high heels and not getting swept away by Only Way is Essex pandemonium and opting for an orange spray tan and vajazzle. You are sexy in your own way Alexa and we love you for it.

Romeo Beckham named in Best Dressed List by GQ:

Oh to be the child of the rich and famous and receive accolades like ‚ÄúBest Dressed‚Äù at the tender age of eight. Yes, Romeo Beckham may have yet to reach double figure but that hasn’t stopped the fashion world taking note of his style.

Perhaps we’re just surprised because a top publication didn’t take note of our killer M&S twin sets and Tammy Girl jeans when we were eight but alas, Romeo has impressed the critics.

Placing 26th on GQ’s Best Dressed Men in the Country, the magazine defended their decision, claiming:

‚ÄúHe’s experimental, quirky and fun. His style has ≠nothing mini-me about it. It’s me-me!‚Äù

Not to rain on Romeo’s parade but isn’t he usually dressed by a stylist and wearing something similar to his brothers? Sucks to be Cruz and Brooklyn.

Other notable men who made the cut include Romeo’s own Dad David, Jude Law and taking the top spot, the gorgeous Aaron Johnson.

So we thought we’d have one in-depth look at the last outfit she wore on British soil before heading back to LA:

    Rihanna for Topshop:

We are not ones to speculate and create news from idle gossip but the fashion industry is buzzing with suggestions that Rihanna is set to create a clothing line with Topshop.

The pop princess was spotted dining in her native Barbados with Topshop tycoon, Sir Phillip Green. Though it is unknown whether this dinner was of a business nature or just a friendly bite to eat, insiders have speculated that the star’s famed outlandish style could make for a fantastically profitable fashion line.

Oh Riri, please direct your creative juices towards a fashion line. We know you’re busy with your music but have you ever heard of multi tasking?

PETA activists around the one can rejoice at this triumph as Oslo Fashion Week has announced it will be fur free.

This ground breaking decision will make Norway the first country to ban animal pelts from the runway.

The decision is due to a collaboration with animal rights group Noah, who believe the ban will “increase ethical values in fashion.”

We think this sounds like an amazing idea and if it works out well, perhaps it will signal a future development in fashion weeks across the world.

Model Isabelle Caro has died aged 28 after a long struggle with bulimia. The French star has been batting the illness since 13 but her condition became public knowledge after she appeared in a shocking anti anorexia campaign that featured graphic pictures of her gaunt and skeletal physique.

Although her exact cause of death has not been confirmed, her longtime acting instructor, Daniele Dubreuil-Prevot stated that the model has been “sick for some time” referring to her eating disorder.

Around the time of the campaign, the model spoke about her illness, saying:

‚ÄòI want to recover because I love life and the riches of the universe. I want to show young people how dangerous this illness is.’
