• Get The Look: Michelle Wright’s Dress

Michelle Wright was named as Soap’s Sexiest lady for five years in a row and there’s a reason for this – even when she’s dressed down she looks gorgeous.

However, there is a secret to that. She’s never really dressed down, but some outfits are slightly more casual and comfortable than others. Look at her regularly and you’ll see what I mean. If you want to look effortlessly sexy then she’s a great role model to pay attention to.

What differs with this dress is it’s flattering to her figure. Most roll necks swamp the figure but this is really feminine. The dress on the right is from House of Fraser – it’s the Therapy high neck ribbed tunic dress. It looks super expensive but it’s £16.80.

I’ve also found House of Fraser have some lovely knitted dresses that you can dress down with boots or up with sandals like Michelle did. Check out this dress from the Quiz collection, which was £25. Sadly my exact dress is no longer in stock, but I’m a big fan of the Quiz brand at House of Fraser.

And I’m not the only one loving a roll-neck this season. Fleur East and Kim Kardashian share my love of the cosy garment.

Isn’t it refreshing that we can dress appropriately for the weather without looking frumpy?

  • Get The Look: Alesha’s Exact Dress

Alesha Dixon has taken on a new role. If she wasn’t busy enough already with singing, judging on BGT and being a mother to a two-year-old, Alesha has joined the board of directors at a fashion brand.

She’s collaborating with LittleBlackDress.co.uk and wants to improve their profile and make it known globally as the one-stop shop for Little Black Dresses. She’s certainly a stunning ambassador for the brand, and looked radiant at the launch party in London’s Hotel Cafe Royal.

If you like Alesha’s dress as much as I do, then you’ll be pleased to know it’s just £75 from Littleblackdresss.co.uk. It looks way more expensive than that! Shop the look here.

Made in Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue was also at the glamorous party, looking classy in a classic LBD with an edded edge of feathers.

Rosie’s dress is the Audrey Little Black Dress – £120 – and also available on LittleBlackDress.co.uk.

Whose dress did you like best? If you need a LBD for the party season that’s affordable and looks more expensive than what it is you know where to go!

    Nina Naustdal: LFW Show

If anything beats a fashion show, it’s three fashion shows in one.

Nina Naustdal treated us to just that during her London Fashion Week at the sumptous venue, The Royal College Of Surgeons. Firstly, we saw her kids collection, which was too cute for words.

It’s her first ever kids show and everything flowed perfectly. Some of the youngsters were tiny but they came out and they strutted their stuff under the bright lights, causing me to wonder if I’d seen the supermodels of the next 10 years before anyone else. I highly recommend checking out Nina’s kids collection online.

And then the main course, which I really loved because it was full of romantic, flowing fabrics, which all looked luxurious and super feminine – Nina’s Ready to Wear Spring Summer ’16 Collection. Nina’s motto is ‘Normal is Boring’ and this is evident in this collection.

    These are my favourite looks:

    photo 4

See what I mean about the gorgeous fabrics?

The third and final collection shown was the decadent Couture Autumn / Winter 15 – the cherry on the cake. Everyone was left amazed by the silk, the crystals and the embellishment, inspired by Nina’s Norwegian heritage and growing up by the sea. These dresses are like works of art that you can wear. My favourites are:

What’s your favourite look? Check out Nina Naustdal’s website for the full collections and I guarantee you’ll be impressed!

Everything is handmade in Nina’s London Atelier and I’m told that it’s all unique. If you’re lucky enough to own one of Nina’s dresses you’ll never have to worry about someone else wearing the same thing as you. How luxurious is that?

  • Sports Fashion: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid both have demanding schedules, but they can still find time to relax together and go for a hike. Getting out in the fresh air is going to boost their energy levels plus they can have a gossip on the way.

We know it’s hard to find energy to motivate yourself to get out the front door. Our biggest tip is to invest in some new exercise kit as if you feel like you look good you want to get out and show off.

Both Taylor and Gigi look fabulous, and so we looked for ways to copy their look for less. Taylor’s grey shorts and black shorts are like the Adidas Climachill tank top (£26) and the Adistar Viz Shorts (£30)

Meanwhile, Gigi’s leggings with the pink stripe, worn with a simple white t-shirt look like the Nike dri-fit contour t-shirt (£30). The leggings are like the Nike black tight training pants (£35).

Feeling any more motivated yet? Let us know how you get on!

  • Emily Ratajowski’s Wide Leg Jumpsuit

At the premiere of We Are Your Friends in New York City, lead actress Emily Ratajowski continued to attract attention in yet another gorgeous outfit. At the premieres in London and LA she wore some traditionally formal maxi dresses but this olive jumpsuit was the right mix of edgy and smart.

The exact jumpsit was a bargain at £125 from Urban Outfitters, but sadly its sold out. You can get a similar khaki cutout bodycon dress at Urban Outfitters, but if its a jumpsuit you are after then check out this one from New Look.

Not only do we have this alternative, but our one is cheaper! New Look’s Cameo Rose khaki space dye high neck jumpsuit is just £22.99.

  • Get The Look: Cara’s Gothic Blouse

Cara Delevingne may have quit modelling for acting but she hasn’t lost any sense of style. In fact, I’d even say is looking better than usual as when she was in front of the lens all day she ended up slouching around in jogging bottoms and crop tops in her down time.

As she left a hotel in New York, where she’s staying with her girlfriend St Vincent, Cara looked every inch a glam Hollywood icon. The Live Like a VIP team think she resembles Nicole Kidman with her sleek blowdry and classic feminine style – what do you think?

To copy Cara’s look for less, you can get a similar lace blouse for just £10.70 from BangGood.com

The right trousers are also key to this look. Cara’s are three-quarter length with a large waistband (so you can tuck in the blouse). Try the Oasis cotton sateen belted trouser – just £32!

Did you ever imagine you could copy a supermodel’s look and have change from £50? Go do it!

  • Get The Look: Amy Childs Exact Dress

Amy Childs is looking more Hollywood than Essex these days. As she’s shed her red hair, she’s gained a sense of style. As her hair is less shocking she can express herself with her clothes. Before that was difficult as making a statement with beauty means that fashion should be kept classic to let the grooming stand out.

Now, for Amy, she can really focus on putting together some statement outfits, which is exactly what she did at NOW magazine’s summer party.

It’s very short – so heels are a good idea to lengthen your legs – but it is very flattering as the skirt has an A’line effect so your waist looks thinner as it flares out a bit at the bottom. You wouldn’t need a necklace, just dainty hand and wrist jewellery.

Below is Amy wearing it at the party and modelling it on the website where it’s sold.

If you like it, you need to look for the Amy Childs Claudia assymetric statement dress. It’s £55, which is not bad as the black and white colour would suit many occasions so you’ll get a lot of wear from it in summer and can add a pair of opaque tights in Winter?

  • 10 Tips On Power Dressing For Men

People say that you should dress for the job you want, and not the job you have. While this may cause some people turning up to their office job dressed as Victoria Secret models, some people are taking this a bit more seriously. Power dressing can change your entire attitude. Use these 10 tips on power dressing for men and you’ll see how drastically it can change your attitude!

    1. Let Your Tie do the Talking

If you plan on power dressing, make sure you let your tie do the talking. Your suit shouldn’t be too ‘showy’, but you can make a statement with your tie. Pick a bright colour or pattern to make a statement. Leave the novelty tie at home though, unless it’s a Christmas party.

    2. Make Sure the Suit Fits

There’s a fine line between a suit that fits, is too small and too big. Any suit you wear should be tailored to you, so don’t be afraid to have it altered if you need it. It’ll cost a little more, but it’ll look so much better!

     3. Dark Means Power

People automatically associate dark colours with power. If you wear your suits in a dark colour, they’ll deem you powerful, even though they might not know it.

     4. Invest in a Briefcase

A briefcase is essential if you plan on power dressing. You can fit all of your important documents in here, or at the very least act like you have important documents. Invest in one to last a long time if you’re serious about this power dressing business.

     5. Find the Perfect Pair of Boots

You will be surprised at how much more powerful you feel in a pair of good boots. Brogue style boots are fantastic and look great with a suit. Once you have a pair of these, you’ll never go back.

    6. Look After Yourself

It’s all well and good dressing powerfully, but you need to look after yourself too. Clean your face. Give yourself a manicure. Make sure you look groomed, clean and tidy.

     7. Make Sure Your Clothes Suit the Temperature

If it’s winter and you’re wearing a light suit, you’re going to freeze to death. Wearing a heavy suit in summer will give you a sweaty appearance; not a good look! Make sure the clothes you wear suit the temperature.

     8. Think Outside of the Box

When it comes to your shirt, think outside of the box. White shirts can be very boring. Choose a shirt in a colour like blue to make a statement and stand out a little!

     9. Dress for Your Body Shape

Everybody has a different body shape, so make sure you dress for yours. If you wear materials that make you look bigger, you’re not going to look as suave as you could otherwise.

     10. Don’t Over Accessorize

Over accessorizing will make it look like you’re trying too hard. Some people wear lots of fancy jewellery in the hopes they’ll appear to have more money. It doesn’t work, so don’t do it! Instead, wear a few staples, like one of the watches by Shinola and a pair of cufflinks.

    Style For Stroke Party Gossip

The Stroke Association is a cause close to my heart. I’ve run marathons for them but London PR guru and philanthropist Nick Ede has done so much more than that.

Not only has he raised a LOT of money for them during his active fundraising, he’s making a move to take the stigma out of stroke. There used to be a taboo around it but now Nick’s opened up his fashion and celeb industry contacts book and got all the stars talking about it. And not only talking, but wearing slogans on their chests, like Nick is below with TOWIEs Jessica Wright.

Nick’s idea was to collaborate with Boohoo to produce a collection of t-shirts, which are just £10 each and all profits go to the Stroke Association. Judging by the amount of the celebs at the party, all the VIPs have these t-shirts now. If you want to Live like a VIP like them then check out the collection here.

I caught up with Denise Van Outen at the party, who tells me she’s about to host a new weight loss program in the UK in the Autumn. It will be a bit like America’s The Biggest Loser but less of a freak show. She was in great shape at the party – I felt like a giant next to her.

Also, out showing that The Stroke Association is a cause close to their hearts were the following celebs:

    Casey Batchelor

    Sarah Jane Crawford

    Lizzie Cundy

    Gemma Oaten and Matt Evers

    Hayley Sparkes

    AJ Ododu

Glam or what? Don’t forget to head to Boohoo to get yours now!

  • Get The Look: Rita Ora

Rita Ora is having a style revival right now. The white cropped hair suits her so much more than the blonde waves. It’s fierce and she seems to be picking clothes with an attitude to match. The stripe trousers she’s wearing below for a night out in London scream edginess and then there’s a black leather jacket and a black roll neck top. I wouldn’t mess with anyone wearing something like this…but I would remember it and copy it.

I’ve dome some research and I’ve found its not too hard to copy and its not expensive either. The Rebel Kate striped trousers (below) are just £10.

Polo neck ribbed jumper is £11 at Marks and Spencers.

While a similar black biker jacket is £38 at Dorothy Perkins jacket

Finally, the Links of London chain necklace is £65. It’s not as bulky as Rita’s but I prefer that, It’s £65.

Without the necklace, the entire outfit is less than £100.

So would you wear something like this? If not, why not?
