• Very.co.uk Date Night Outfits

I love Valentine’s Day! I love the anticipation, I love the flowers, I love the chocolates and I love making an effort to show my feelings for someone. So when fashion brand Very.co.uk hosted a Valentine’s themed party to showcase it’s lovely outfits, I couldn’t wait to join in!

Reality TV stars Ferne McCann (TOWIE and I’m a Celeb) and Ashley James (Made In Chelsea) were among the fashionistas ogling the new clothes at the party, as the new outfits are perfect for making good impressions – in TV as well as in real-life.

In the above photo, Ferne’s wearing the V by Very roll neck top and the Rochelle Humes culotte trousers. Ashley’s red top is the V by Very fluted waffle jacket

However, these are my personal top 5 outfits from the night:

    (1) V by Very suedette jacket

    (2)  Rochelle Humes culotte jumpsuit (right)Ca824ciXIAAVpE1

    (3) V by Very faux fur gilet

    (4) Rochelle Humes sleeveless striped waistcoat

  • Get The Look: Khloe K’s Exact Leggings

Khloe Kardashian is the ultimate gym bunny. She seems to visit at least once a day and when she can’t attend she has a personal trainer to put her through her paces while she’s on holiday. There’s no rest for the wicked and that’s why Khloe’s managed to achieve such a ripped, toned body as well as lose a lot of weight over the past 12 months. If you want something, you have to work for it!

However, there’s no reason why you have to dress down in the gym. Khloe looks just as fabulous while she’s working to achieve her figure as she does when she’s showing off the results afterwards. And the good news is we can all copy one of her recent gym outfits almost exactly.

She’s wearing Nike Pro Engineered Giraffe Training Tights and you can get a pair that’s exactly the same as hers for just £39.99. The top is the Nike dri-fit half knit zip and then the look is finished with the  colour co-ordinated  Nike Free TR 5 Flyknit trainers.

Wearing something like this would inspire me to go to the gym more often, safe in the knowledge that I look hot while doing so. And if I end up with  a figure like Khloe’s after then that would be a bonus. What do you think?

  • Get The Look: Celebrity Workout Wear

Hi VIPs! At this time of year, chances are we’ve allover-indulged too much. It happens to all of us, so don’t beat yourself up too much. Instead, make a resolution to beat it out on the running track or in the gym when the festive period is over.

If you need some inspiration than the celebs will all be doing it. Kate Hudson. the Queen of activewear who has her own clothing company Fabletics. is a great ambassador for her range…

Heidi Klum keeps in supermodel shape by jogging. I love that she doesn’t mind getting noticed when she’s sweaty. You need something like this in Winter when it’s dark early mornings and early evenings.

Meanwhile Kylie Jenner is an indoor gym bunny, showing that she must do a lot of sit-ups with this Instagram post.

Even though you’re going to get sweaty, you don’t have to look scruffy. I find I want to exercise more if I know I look good when I start. For this reason, these are the affordable but awesome activewear outfits that I’m loving right now:

    (1)  Boohoo’s panel print neon contrast leggings  are just £12 and you can get a matching sports bra. Monochrome stands out in the gym, but it won’t show up your sweat patches.

    (2) For a shorts kit like Kate Hudson’s the  Teal runners shorts and matching sports bra from Asos looks ssssssuper cool. I love the snake print effect.

    (3) The Don’t Ever Quit t-shirt from Forever 21 is a bargain morale booster for £11

    (4) For running wear like Heidi Klum’s I love the  Supernova storm jacket from Adidas. The fabric is designed to absorb sweat and keep you at the optimum temperature.

    (5) If you really want to stand out then these sports tights from H&M are £15 and come in a variety of base colours. We prefer the pink to the orange…

Are you feeling more energetic yet?

    Have a great day!

  • Get The Look: Michelle Wright’s Dress

Michelle Wright was named as Soap’s Sexiest lady for five years in a row and there’s a reason for this – even when she’s dressed down she looks gorgeous.

However, there is a secret to that. She’s never really dressed down, but some outfits are slightly more casual and comfortable than others. Look at her regularly and you’ll see what I mean. If you want to look effortlessly sexy then she’s a great role model to pay attention to.

What differs with this dress is it’s flattering to her figure. Most roll necks swamp the figure but this is really feminine. The dress on the right is from House of Fraser – it’s the Therapy high neck ribbed tunic dress. It looks super expensive but it’s £16.80.

I’ve also found House of Fraser have some lovely knitted dresses that you can dress down with boots or up with sandals like Michelle did. Check out this dress from the Quiz collection, which was £25. Sadly my exact dress is no longer in stock, but I’m a big fan of the Quiz brand at House of Fraser.

And I’m not the only one loving a roll-neck this season. Fleur East and Kim Kardashian share my love of the cosy garment.

Isn’t it refreshing that we can dress appropriately for the weather without looking frumpy?

  • Get The Look: Alesha’s Exact Dress

Alesha Dixon has taken on a new role. If she wasn’t busy enough already with singing, judging on BGT and being a mother to a two-year-old, Alesha has joined the board of directors at a fashion brand.

She’s collaborating with LittleBlackDress.co.uk and wants to improve their profile and make it known globally as the one-stop shop for Little Black Dresses. She’s certainly a stunning ambassador for the brand, and looked radiant at the launch party in London’s Hotel Cafe Royal.

If you like Alesha’s dress as much as I do, then you’ll be pleased to know it’s just £75 from Littleblackdresss.co.uk. It looks way more expensive than that! Shop the look here.

Made in Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue was also at the glamorous party, looking classy in a classic LBD with an edded edge of feathers.

Rosie’s dress is the Audrey Little Black Dress – £120 – and also available on LittleBlackDress.co.uk.

Whose dress did you like best? If you need a LBD for the party season that’s affordable and looks more expensive than what it is you know where to go!

    Nina Naustdal: LFW Show

If anything beats a fashion show, it’s three fashion shows in one.

Nina Naustdal treated us to just that during her London Fashion Week at the sumptous venue, The Royal College Of Surgeons. Firstly, we saw her kids collection, which was too cute for words.

It’s her first ever kids show and everything flowed perfectly. Some of the youngsters were tiny but they came out and they strutted their stuff under the bright lights, causing me to wonder if I’d seen the supermodels of the next 10 years before anyone else. I highly recommend checking out Nina’s kids collection online.

And then the main course, which I really loved because it was full of romantic, flowing fabrics, which all looked luxurious and super feminine – Nina’s Ready to Wear Spring Summer ’16 Collection. Nina’s motto is ‘Normal is Boring’ and this is evident in this collection.

    These are my favourite looks:

    photo 4

See what I mean about the gorgeous fabrics?

The third and final collection shown was the decadent Couture Autumn / Winter 15 – the cherry on the cake. Everyone was left amazed by the silk, the crystals and the embellishment, inspired by Nina’s Norwegian heritage and growing up by the sea. These dresses are like works of art that you can wear. My favourites are:

What’s your favourite look? Check out Nina Naustdal’s website for the full collections and I guarantee you’ll be impressed!

Everything is handmade in Nina’s London Atelier and I’m told that it’s all unique. If you’re lucky enough to own one of Nina’s dresses you’ll never have to worry about someone else wearing the same thing as you. How luxurious is that?

  • Sports Fashion: Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid both have demanding schedules, but they can still find time to relax together and go for a hike. Getting out in the fresh air is going to boost their energy levels plus they can have a gossip on the way.

We know it’s hard to find energy to motivate yourself to get out the front door. Our biggest tip is to invest in some new exercise kit as if you feel like you look good you want to get out and show off.

Both Taylor and Gigi look fabulous, and so we looked for ways to copy their look for less. Taylor’s grey shorts and black shorts are like the Adidas Climachill tank top (£26) and the Adistar Viz Shorts (£30)

Meanwhile, Gigi’s leggings with the pink stripe, worn with a simple white t-shirt look like the Nike dri-fit contour t-shirt (£30). The leggings are like the Nike black tight training pants (£35).

Feeling any more motivated yet? Let us know how you get on!

  • Emily Ratajowski’s Wide Leg Jumpsuit

At the premiere of We Are Your Friends in New York City, lead actress Emily Ratajowski continued to attract attention in yet another gorgeous outfit. At the premieres in London and LA she wore some traditionally formal maxi dresses but this olive jumpsuit was the right mix of edgy and smart.

The exact jumpsit was a bargain at £125 from Urban Outfitters, but sadly its sold out. You can get a similar khaki cutout bodycon dress at Urban Outfitters, but if its a jumpsuit you are after then check out this one from New Look.

Not only do we have this alternative, but our one is cheaper! New Look’s Cameo Rose khaki space dye high neck jumpsuit is just £22.99.

  • Get The Look: Cara’s Gothic Blouse

Cara Delevingne may have quit modelling for acting but she hasn’t lost any sense of style. In fact, I’d even say is looking better than usual as when she was in front of the lens all day she ended up slouching around in jogging bottoms and crop tops in her down time.

As she left a hotel in New York, where she’s staying with her girlfriend St Vincent, Cara looked every inch a glam Hollywood icon. The Live Like a VIP team think she resembles Nicole Kidman with her sleek blowdry and classic feminine style – what do you think?

To copy Cara’s look for less, you can get a similar lace blouse for just £10.70 from BangGood.com

The right trousers are also key to this look. Cara’s are three-quarter length with a large waistband (so you can tuck in the blouse). Try the Oasis cotton sateen belted trouser – just £32!

Did you ever imagine you could copy a supermodel’s look and have change from £50? Go do it!

  • Get The Look: Amy Childs Exact Dress

Amy Childs is looking more Hollywood than Essex these days. As she’s shed her red hair, she’s gained a sense of style. As her hair is less shocking she can express herself with her clothes. Before that was difficult as making a statement with beauty means that fashion should be kept classic to let the grooming stand out.

Now, for Amy, she can really focus on putting together some statement outfits, which is exactly what she did at NOW magazine’s summer party.

It’s very short – so heels are a good idea to lengthen your legs – but it is very flattering as the skirt has an A’line effect so your waist looks thinner as it flares out a bit at the bottom. You wouldn’t need a necklace, just dainty hand and wrist jewellery.

Below is Amy wearing it at the party and modelling it on the website where it’s sold.

If you like it, you need to look for the Amy Childs Claudia assymetric statement dress. It’s £55, which is not bad as the black and white colour would suit many occasions so you’ll get a lot of wear from it in summer and can add a pair of opaque tights in Winter?
