VIP Royal Premiere: James Bond Skyfall

Celebrity Premiere | James Bond Skyfall

That’s right ladies, the only man to make a Martini look sexy is back. Daniel Craig has reprised his role as 007 and has definitely put the shaken back into the Bond franchise. Treading the red carpet at the Royal Albert Hall, the stars of the film and the fans were treated to classical Bond music and David Walliams interviewing the stars live on the red carpet.

In Skyfall, 007’s loyalty to M (Judi Dench) is severely tested, as her past comes back to haunt her. Bond must track down the threat, regardless of the personal cost.

Cue buildings being blown up, hot women and Daniel Craig in his pants – what more could you want in a movie? This is by far the best Bond film we have seen in years – go and watch it now!

Star of the film Daniel Craig looked pretty dapper in his Tom Ford suit (we were gutted he wasn’t in Speedo’s) and told us that he has signed up to do the next Bond. Thank the Lord!

British veteran actress Judi Dench looked fabulous last night in a floor length white gown. M even had her neck ‘tattooed’ with a diamante 007 – so bloomin’ cool! Our favourite British actress said she is sad to be leave the Bond films behind and said life isn’t all bad when you see Daniel Craig in a suit everyday. Whoah! You go Judi.

New Bond girl Naomie Harris looked every inch the starlet last night, but confessed to us that she never thought being a Bond girl was even possible. “I never thought it was a possibility, so it’s hugely exciting to be a Bond girl.” She added: “I’m loving it. I love Sam Mendes. He’s a fantastic director. And Daniel Craig is incredible to work with, so I feel incredibly lucky.” Yes, you are bloomin’ lucky Naomie!

Naughty Bond Girl Berenice Marlohe stunned the crowds in a scarlet Vivienne Westwood frock – she definitely won the frock off with Naomie. The actress said she enjoyed trying to kick Bond’s butt and that she would love to work with Daniel again. We bet you would, after seeing him in the buff!

Kelly Brook sizzled in a floor length gold gown, but boyfriend Thom Evans was not there to admire her. The model said she has been super busy at the moment training for her role in theatre show Crazy Horse and said she has never been in better shape. We had better get our dancing shoes on if we want to look like Ms Brook.

Baddie of the film Javier Bardem may have replaced our Daniel Craig crush – PHWOAR!

We were a bit gutted it wasn’t Prince Harry in a James Bond style suit, but we guess Charles tried his best to look more like 007.

Skyfall is due for release Friday 26th October:

Celebrity Awards | Women of the Year Lunch

We know there are more awards shows in one year than hot dinners, but yesterday’s Women of the Year Awards truly inspired us. Jam packed with celebs, normal folk like me and you, packed to the brim with inspirational stories and remarkable women. Everyone from Olympic champion Rebecca Adlington to Lorraine Kelly was there to either present or receive awards – girl power!

Olympic athlete Rebecca Adlington looked well rested after her sporting summer and said she is already back in training – this girl knows how to punish herself doesn’t she?! We love Becky’s look so much that we dedicated an entire beauty post to her. Read it here.

Legendary actress Helen Mirren put some glamour into the proceedings yesterday afternoon. Helen said it is about time women pull together and appreciate each other as we spend more time being negative towards on another. Here, here Hel! Ms Mirren is looking in fabulous shape recently and said she owes it all to body balance classes (a mix of yoga, pilates and tai chi).

VIP Party: Alcatel One Touch and Stooshe Party

Celebrity Party | Alcatel One Touch and Stooshe Party

Our favourite girlband of the moment Stooshe looked fabulous at the launch of Alcatel One Touch on Saturday night. The British band, who have been taking the UK by storm and represented the brand perfectly.

The new Smartphone comes not only with the newest gadgets and apps, but Stooshe have exclusively recorded a video and wallpaper for the digital device. Not only can you make calls, texts, send emails and all the other fancy pants stuff a Smartphone does, but now you can listen to our fave girlband at the touch of a button, for free!

The girls gave a fabulous performance at the launch party with renditions of Love Me and Black Heart – they even seemed to get the attention from even the biggest tech geeks.

The London girls looked their usual cool, eclectic self in a mish-mash of outfits – we are loving their style. Not only was their style bang on, they looked glowing too. The girls said their make-up artist has been using Bobbi Brown highlighting pens to hide dark circles and give them a glow.

As a little treat for you all to beat those Monday blues here’s Stooshe with Black Heart:

VIP Premiere: London BFI Film Festival Closing Party

Celebrity Premiere | London BFI Film Festival Closing Party

This is the one we have all been waiting for, Great Expectations at the London BFI Festival. Helena Bonham Carter is ravishing as Miss Havisham, Jeremy Irvine is smouldering as Pip and Ralph Fiennes is seriously spooky as Pip’s benefactor Magwitch.

Great Expectations follows the life of Pip, a young boy who lives with his Aunt and Uncle. One day, as Pip walks through the marshes, he comes across a fugitive by the name of Magwitch. Instead of turing the felon in, Pip pretends he sees no-one. Years later, as a young man, Pip comes across Miss Havisham and her young adopted daughter Estella, who he falls in love with.

When reaching his 18th birthday, Pip suddenly comes into money from a wealthy benefactor who he believes is Miss Havisham, little did he know it is Magwitch. The tale about lust, distrust and love is why this is one of Dickens best novels.

Helena Bonham Carter looked a million miles away from Miss Havisham in her gothic layered dress. The British actress said playing such an iconic figure in English literature was incredibly risky and she only hopes her portrayal of the original spinster is received well. Ms Carter toned down the spooky make-up last night and instead opted for dark eyes, which she says is thanks to Dior jet black eyeliner.

Star of the film David Walliams and model wife Lara Stone looked as loved up as ever – they barely made it down the red carpet without smooching several times. Lara looked stunning in a floor length, black gown and gold clutch bag. We confessed to the model that we are super jel of her flawless skin, and she told us to get some Estee Lauder BB Anti-Oxidant cream as it makes her skin look alive even when she feels tired. AMAZING!

Jeremy Irvine and Holliday Grainger looked cute together on the red carpet and we wondered if the romance of Pip and Estella spilled over form the big screen. The young actors were keeping tight lipped on that one, but we think they look super cute!

Great Expectations is released nationwide November 30th:

Party Report: Love Perfume Awards 2012

There was no time to be tired after the London Lifestyle Awards as my fellow nominee for London Personality of the Year, PR maestro Nick Ede (above), was hosting the Love Perfume Awards for the Perfume Shop. When you get an invite to one of Nick’s parties you really cannot turn it down. You’re guaranteed a great venue, nice cocktails, yummy canapes and most importantly…CELEBRITIES.

I made the most of the night – as there was a good VIP turn out – to ask the celebs about their favourite fragrances and to get them to tell me what they were up to at the moment. You can’t beat a bit of gossip, can you? So I started with Joey Essex and James ‘Arg’ Argent who were on a boys night out. They told me they wore Gucci by Gucci and Hugo Boss Orange. Did you expect that? I didn’t.

Cheska Hull and Gabriella Ellis had come straight from filming Made In Chelsea in Selfridges so Cheska revealed she sprayed some fragrance in the beauty hall before attending the party. That’s the best thing about department stores. Cheska looked absolutely stunning in a Little Mistress sequin dress, she has a great figure. Both her and Gabi say they work out with Gabi telling me she does running and boxing every single day. WOW!

But talking of trainers, I brought my own personal trainer, Derrick Twum from the elite training collective MEM, to the event. We all got onto the dancefloor with the Streets singer Leo Ihenacho. Derrick trained me hard that afternoon (stay tuned for the update to my training diary) so I think he was coming to check I didn’t undo the exercise part with neglecting my diet. Getting a VIP body, requires a lot of determination!

TV Presenter and columnist Lizzie Cundy was wearing a very sexy dress by a new brand called Baby Box – their stuff is wild. But she offset it with some classis Chanel No 5  – very Marilyn Monroe.

Coty Prestige, Proctor and Gamble and Marc Jacobs’ Dot were all winners on the night but the award that stuck in my head the most was best celebrity nose. The female category was won by Taylor Swift and the male one by David Beckham. This gave me an excuse to do some photo research to check out David’s nose. What do you think, people?

And let’s start a debate. What’s your favourite perfume? Tweet me @zoegriffin I like Michael Kors by Michael Kors, which is often overlooked by customers wanting a fancy bottle or a big name but the jasmine essences are just addictive. HINT, HINT: Santa Claus – please can I have some in my stocking?

Photos Inside The London Lifestyle Awards

I’ve gone on it for long enough but let me just boast one last time – yesterday I attended an awards ceremony where I was up for a prestigious honour – London Personality of The Year! Ok, so I didn’t win (find out who got what in the other blog post I wrote today) but come on, to be named on stage as having a good personality in a room full of celebs and industry experts is a pretty incredible feeling. Thanks again to everyone who voted for me.

The London Lifestyle awards (now in their third year) have always been one of my favourite events of the year because they bring together everything that is cool about London – spas, restaurants, coffee shops, hairdressers, theatre shows and concierge services. Awards are given to people or businesses that excel even if they’re not household names yet so you really find out about hidden gems by attending. I got to hang out with some incredible people. Here is my night in pictures:

My date for the night was my sister Joanna Griffin, also the beauty editor at Live Like A VIP. Her dress is ASOS, mine is John Lewis. I got it in the summer so it’s no longer in stock (sorry) but the department store has some other gorgeous gold and champagne coloured dresses online. While we’re on the subject of outfits, what helps me look good in my dress is personal training by the elite trainers MEM GymBoys (read my training diary here) . Oh, and my hair is by Smooth You and my tan is by Maryam Eloise who is one of Fake Bake’s spray at home practitioners.

One of my favourite people in London was also nominated for London Personality of the Year. This is Nick Ede, a PR expert and a philanthropist. The Stroke Association is a cause close to my heart (I ran the London Marathon for them twice) but Nick has held charity events, quizzes, parties and award ceremonies to raise money for them and now designed a limited edition of Christmas party dresses. They are absolutely stunning and our mutual friend Lizzie Cundy looked incredible in one of the little black dresses. And I’ll let you into a little secret – its just £55 if you want to buy online

Lizzie attends as many, if not more, London parties than me. She’s got a column on Express.co.uk, Cundy’s Corner, which you really must check out if you haven’t done so already. And while we’re on the subject of reading, I also recommend checking out the incredible website run by JJ Miller, who’s with me in the photo below. Originally called This Little Lady Went To London and now abbreviated to TTLWTL, it’s a guide to everything that’s cool about the capital. Think Time Out but a thousand times more trendy.

JJ was a judge at the London Lifestyle Awards – she is THAT cool – as well as incredibly beautiful. If you look into the background of the photo you’ll see a couple talking to camera. That is Rosie Fortescue and Oliver Proudlock from Made In Chelsea. We actually got booted off the red carpet to make way for them which brought me back down to earth sharpish. Personality of the year is a great achievement for me personally, but in the paparazzi pecking order I am still below Made In Chelsea characters. So now you know!

And finally, let me introduce you to one more woman to watch out for. This is Charlotte Dawson, Les Dawson’s daughter. She’s getting established as a TV presenter and she is one of the most down to earth girls you can hope to meet. She’s just released a book about her dad’s best jokes and hopes to become a new face on our screens with her unique chat, she’s no autocue bimbo. Watch this space!

NEXT WEEK: If you want to hang out with me and JJ Miller in another of London’s coolest bars, The Folly, then come to our networking night and panel discussion about How To Make Your Blog A Success. There’s a whole panel of experts talking, tickets are just £20 including a welcome drink and you can buy tickets and get more details about all the speakers here I can’t promise I will look as glam but I’ll still dress up for you. Come and say hi!
