Being Confident About The Way You Look

    pexels-photo-179734

We all lack in self-confidence from time to time. Some days, you look in the mirror and you’re pleased with the way your hair looks that morning and, other days, you feel like leaving the house wouldn’t even be worth it. Feeling happy with your appearance is a tough thing to master. You’ll always see some blemish or flaw that you don’t like, and the cruel thing is that it’s probably all in your head. Still, regardless of the number of people who tell you that you look good, it doesn’t change how you perceive yourself.

And that’s the most important thing, at the end of the day. It doesn’t matter what other people think of your appearance. All that matters is how confident you are about the way you look.  The goal isn’t to become arrogant or bigheaded about your appearance. The goal is to simply learn to love and appreciate both your best features and your flaws because everybody has a mixture of the two. Nobody is perfect, but you can still be beautiful with flaws. That’s a bit of a cliché, of course, but it’s the truth. Here are some pieces of advice to help you become more confident about the way you look.

    Diet.

It’s important that we talk about diet, first of all, because many people struggle in this regard. The widespread and completely inaccurate folk myth is simply that you need to eat less. People believe that you need to cut down your diet to the “bare essentials” and lose as much weight as possible. They believe you need to stick to your greens and cut out all the junk from your diet. Only fractured parts of this advice are true but, in terms of your entire diet, this is a very unhealthy way to live. Undereating is just as dangerous as overeating. As we’ve mentioned before, you need to be careful with regards to what you eat, but that also means making sure you replace junk food with healthier alternatives rather than just “eating less.”

A diet consisting solely of vegetables is unhealthy because you’re missing out on foods which contain other nutrients that your body needs. Starving your body might mean that you lose weight but it also means that you’re starving yourself of the food necessary for your survival. Remember, weight is only a small factor of health. If you want to be confident about the way you look, don’t follow a crash diet just so you can lose weight: focus on a healthy diet and achieving a healthy weight. You need all the iron and other vitamins that vegetables offer but you also need carbohydrates from food such as pasta and protein from meats or Quorn products. That’s just the tip of the iceberg, of course. Do some research into healthy vitamins and nutrients you should include in your diet so that your body is sufficiently nourished.

    Fashion

One of the best ways in which you can increase your body confidence is through the things you wear. Fashion has a huge impact on the way in which we perceive ourselves, and you could learn to better love the way you look if you tried out different styles which better complemented your natural figure and appearance. Start off with clothes that look tailor-made to your body; the goal is not to go for super-tight clothing but an outfit which simply follows your natural body shape and shows that you’re proud and confident of your appearance.

In terms of your actual fashion sense, you don’t need too many focal points; you don’t want to distract from the “you” underneath all those fashionable items of clothing. You could check out sites such as frostnyc.com for accessories such as jewelry to bring an otherwise-plain outfit to life. Remember, you don’t need to go overboard with the outfits you wear. The goal is simply to choose clothes which look like they fit you perfectly.

    pexels-photo-206511

    Emotional support

Whilst you need to find confidence in yourself rather than depending on others to validate your worth, there is a lot that you and your friends (or family) can do for one another to build up your levels of self-esteem. If you and your female friends constantly find yourselves talking about weight struggles or other issues concerning appearance, you should really work harder to stop the negative discussion, as explained over at womenshealthmag.com. This isn’t to say that it’s bad to talk with your friends about the things which are upsetting or worrying you but that you all influence one another more strongly than you might realize. If one of your friends talks about a certain body issue, you might find yourself reflecting on that same part of your body and wondering whether it’s “normal”.

Instead of constantly finding yourself in this negative cycle of self-deprecating conversation points, you and your friends could focus on talking about things other than appearance. You could talk about your accomplishments and the things which make you powerful or fascinating people beyond the way you look. Remember, looking good is all about feeling good, and you’ll feel much better once you and your friends start to reflect on all your positive traits. You won’t be giving one another ideas that there are issues with your bodies. You can start to pull away from that negativity and paranoia because there’s no need for any.

Fake it until you make it.

This final piece of advice might sound like a bad piece of advice from a motivational work speech but it’s actually the most helpful way in which you can become more confident about the way you look. Confidence is all about the way in which you portray yourself not to others but to… well, you. You might not feel very confident about the way you look but everybody has their doubts and self-esteem issues.

The key to overcoming your self-doubts is to fake confidence until you feel confident. Start to tell yourself which parts of your appearance you like when you look in the mirror. Start to improve your posture so that you look taller, thinner, and more self-assured. All of these small changes, over time, will help you see yourself in a new light. Next time you look in the mirror, you won’t have to “fake” the feeling of confidence; you’ll see that all those positive traits really do exist and that your flaws are something to be embraced, as mentioned over at slism.com.

VIP Beauty: Grace Fodor & Studio 10

Grace Fodor is a make-up artist to the stars, a businesswoman, a mother and the founder of the incredible Studio 10 make-up range. The Live Like a VIP team are big fans of Studio 10 as it applies so easily, there’s a palette designed to make contouring simple and it leaves our skin looking and feeling so fresh.

The Studio 10 range  is designed to make us all look younger by correcting the signs of ageing with makeup essentials, problem solvers and professional fixes for results that make us look 10 years younger in an instant. It’s a bit like having an instant ‘facelift without the surgery’.

We’re so inspired that Grace managed to launch this range while being a mum as since Zoe’s had a baby she’s realised just how difficult it can be to mix work and family time. In this interview, she shares her secrets:

    grace

Q: Tell us about yourself and your business?

STUDIO  10 is my passion. I’d reached a point in my life where I was looking for a makeup range designed for women as they age. I needed more than products with just added anti-ageing ingredients, but that specifically correct, cover and combat the signs of ageing.

    studio-10-anti-ageing-collection

Q: What inspired you to start?

I’d been working in the beauty industry for over a decade and I had become increasingly frustrated with the approach of the cosmetic industry to the makeup needs of older women. I felt that cosmetics weren’t changing with women’s skin, or tackling the issues that older women face and that we needed a new generation of tailor-made products.  I wanted a range that did a ‘job of work’ for me!

Q: My greatest challenge has been?

Managing how fast we’ve grown! Studio 10 isn’t even two years old and in that time we have expanded massively, in terms of our product range, stockists and across the world. Managing that process has meant a lot of adjustments and a need to be really pro-active in dealing with each challenge as they arise. It’s a pretty amazing place to be though, so I can’t say I’m complaining!

Q: Achievements in the past 12 months:

Launching into Sephora Australia has been a huge milestone for Studio 10. Sephora is the ‘go-to’ makeup destination for women who love beauty, so to see a range designed for mature women get such great support was a real watershed moment. I’m also incredibly proud of our work with cancer charity Look Good Feel Better.

We’ve been running the #raise1brow project to raise much needed awareness, funds and product. This wonderful charity helps raise the self-esteem and quality of life of people undergoing treatment for cancer. Their aim is to improve their self-image and appearance through complimentary group and self-help skincare and makeup sessions, creating a real sense of support, confidence, strength and community.

Q: What are the biggest challenges you think facing Mum-preneurs

Honestly, I think confidence? So many women have fantastic skills, or great ideas but don’t ever do anything with them because they worry about what they’ll get wrong. I always say ‘write down what you’ll get right and build out from there’. If you need better computer skills for example, do a night course, but don’t let it stop you!

Q:One key piece of advice for aspiring Mum-preneurs

Don’t let anyone else define what you can achieve. I’ve faced failures in business and had to pick myself back up so I know it isn’t easy, but the failure is never what defines you – it’s how you handle it that makes the big difference.

If you look at any successful individual, they’ve all faced setbacks and just refused to give in. Be tenacious and decide what you want to do, then do it. The only limits you have are the ones you set on yourself.

    Q: I love being a Mumpreneur because?

With three daughters I really want to set the example that you absolutely can have a family and a career – you just need to be flexible in how you handle it. So many of my friends saw their careers stall in their thirties – mine has just gone from strength to strength because I could alter my life to suit my work and vice versa.

I want my girls to never limit themselves because of their life choices or gender – being a ‘Mumpreneur’ proves that your brain and ambition don’t stop because you have kids, and you can still create an extraordinary business.

Find out more about that business – Studio 10 – on the Studio 10 website.

  • Stop Aging With Celebrity Beauty Hacks

If you’ve seen Madonna on the stage recently, you’re probably wondering how at nearly 60 years old, she looks so amazing. There are a few wrinkles starting to show and her body might not be as toned as it used to be. However, in no way does she resemble someone in their late fifties, more like someone in their mid-forties. If you have seen her on stage, you’re probably wondering how on earth she looks so good. And she’s not the only celebrity that looks incredible for her age.

To look as good as the likes of Madonna at nearly 60 takes work. You may be nowhere near that age just yet, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t start taking the steps to ensure that you look just as amazing as you age. To find out how to put a stop to aging – or at least slow the process down, take note of these celebrity-approved beauty hacks.

    5388738952_b9c046af93_b

    Keep your body in shape

Look at the likes of Victoria Beckham, she’s 42 years old and looks amazing. The fact that she’s kept her body in tip, top shape, has helped her to stay looking younger for longer. Studies have shown that people who are overweight, are much more likely to age earlier. This is because they put more strain on their bodies. While some people are naturally smaller, the key to keeping your body in shape is healthy eating and exercise. Of course, a lot of celebrities opt to undergo fat freezing and tumescent liposuction to help keep their bodies in shape. However, how you choose to go about it is up to you, just make sure to keep your body toned and trim for as long as possible. You’ll stay looking younger because of it.

    Take care of your smile

Your smile is a big part of your appearance, so it pays to take care of your teeth. As we age, our teeth become more prone to staining, as well as a range of other problems. Unless you want to end up with dentures, you need to give your teeth all the care that they require. This means going for regular checkups and getting any necessary work done. It also means having your teeth whitened, should they start to yellow or become prone to stains. There’s nothing that makes you look older than teeth that are starting to go yellow. So whitening your teeth is more than worth the money and effort. You could opt to go down the DIY route, but professional treatment tends to have better results.

    Look after your skin

When we talk about keeping ourselves looking youthful, our skin tends to be the number one thing that we focus on. That’s because when our skin starts to sag and show fine lines, it’s easily noticeable. When it comes to looking after their skin, a lot of celebrities turn to Botox. While an effective treatment for hiding wrinkles, it’s not the only option. Retinol creams are a great alternative, as they’re much more cost-effective. Plus, the results last for much longer than Botox does. As well as using the right anti-aging creams, it’s also important to eat a healthy diet that’s free of processed sugar. As processed sugar can speed up the aging process. If you want to slow down the aging process and keep your skin looking good for longer, make retinol your new best friend.

So there you have it, the celebrity beauty hacks for putting an end to aging – or at least, slowing the process down.

Seven Natural Oils Celebs Use To Stay Young

You have probably been wondering what natural oils the celebrities and some of the most beautiful women use to keep their skin glowing, right? They don’t just wake up like that and go on about their day. They have to use something to make them look as good as they do. So, if you are wondering what those amazing natural oils that celebrities use to stay youthful are. Keep reading to find out:

      1. Rosehip Oil

Mirander Kerr, the former Victoria Secret model swears by rosehip oil. In fact, she slathers it all over her body before she goes to sleep at night and, because of this, she actually does wake up with natural glowing skin and goes on about her day. However, she has to put it on at night for it to work the way she wants it to. And, so do you. Use Miranda Kerr’s tip and slather it all over your body before bed at night and when you wake up, you will see natural glowing skin. Like you were meant to wake up with a glowing body!

Rosehip oil contains some great vitamins including Vitamin A, which helps with promoting cell turnover in your skin, and Vitamin C, which helps treat those dark spots you might have on your face and body. Not only this, but it is also rich in fatty acids, which helps moisturize your skin.

There are two ways to use Rosehip to soften your skin. The first way is to use it like Miranda does and massage it on your face and body. The second way to use it is by adding a few small drops of it to your bathwater to make your skin even softer. Either way will work fine to make that skin of yours oh so soft and glowing!

    1. Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil

The Hawaiian Kukui Nut Oil may sound new to you. It comes from the Hawaiian state tree and Lupita N’Yongo swears by this oil just like Miranda does with the Rosehip oil. She probably gave this natural oil a major popularity boost by telling the magazine, Glamour, that it is the secret behind her glowing skin.

She also loves to use Avocado oil to keep her face looking as perfect as it does. To use both of these oils on your body and face, you can either massage some onto your body and face before going to sleep at night or you can add a little bit of each of them to your body lotion to provide yourself with a glowing and perfect looking body. Either way will work fine to keep you looking perfect before going out and about for your day.

    1. Argon Oil

Khloe Kardashian loves Argon Oil for her hair. Although all of the Kardashian sister’s have the best looking hair that shines like no other, Khloe is letting her secret out for what makes her hair so healthy. She uses Argon Oil to keep it healthy, shiny, and just down-right beautiful! She says to either add it to your conditioner while in the shower or even uses it as a leave-in conditioner by adding a few drops of it to the ends of your hair when getting out of the shower. Either way, using argon oil will make your hair look as awesome as Khloe’s.

Now, for making her skin glow, she uses coconut oil and avocado oil on her skin and her hair both. These natural oils keep both hair and skin healthy and glowing.

    1. Grape Seed Oil

Want to have skin like Megan Fox? Try using grape seed oil on it. Fox has a great tip if you want your skin to look dewy and soft. All you need is some grape seed oil mixed with some Aquaphor to make a hydrating face mask. You will actually need two parts grape seed oil with one part Aquaphor to make this work like Megan does.

One thing to remember though: if your skin is acne prone, you might not want to use grape seed oil with the Aquaphor. This is because it can cause your skin to become too oily and no one wants oily skin, do you?

However, you can use grape seed oil on your legs and an even better way to use them on your legs is to ease the razor burn if you end up with it.

    1. Coconut Oil

    Want hair like Blake Lively?

Using coconut oil can help you achieve this awesome look! She has a great tip if you want hair like hers. Add coconut oil to the tips of your hair before shampooing it. This is a great way to keep the oily parts of your hair really clean while keeping the drier tips safe from the shampoo.

You can also use coconut oil to moisturize your dry feet. One way to wake up with softer feet in the morning is to massage some of this oil to your feet and putting socks on before going to bed to protect your bed and bed sheets from getting oily.

    1. Macadamia Oil

If you want your skin to “zing” as Cate Blanchett puts it, use either or both macadamia oil and olive oil while in the shower. She also recommends making a homemade scrub for your face and body by using grape fruit juice and sea salt.

However, if you just want a straight body scrub, try mixing either one of these oils with some sugar.

    1. Avocado Oil

If you want to keep your eyes from looking like zombie eyes from your mascara when washing your face, Teresa Palmer recommends using avocado oil. Palmer uses either avocado oil or almond oil to remove the makeup from her eyes. She also recommends using the avocado oil underneath your makeup to give your skin that dewy look. She says the oil keeps you from getting a redness to your skin from those fading acne scars some people get.

These tips are definitely worth trying for anyone who wants soft, glowing, and dewy looking skin. Also, if you want something to help you remove your eye makeup without leaving black circles around your eyes from eyeliner or mascara, these oils are recommended. All of these oils have received thumbs up from the celebrities who use them so why wouldn’t you give them a try for yourself?

  • Drink Up: Is Juicing Right For You

    Shukaku_no_aki_autumn_fruit_vegetables

Juicing is all the rage right now. Celebrities have sparked off the new trend of getting their five a day through freshly pressed juices and smoothies. From one glass every day to juice-only diets, there are numerous ways of getting those essential nutrients and vitamins into you. So, is this just a passing fad? Or can juicing really help you to reap the health benefits that fruit and veg are renowned for?

    morning-breakfast-orange-juice

    Juice Detoxes

A juice detox is when you consume nothing but freshly pressed juices for up to ten days straight. It is believed that juicing your fruit and veg can help you absorb more nutrients more easily than eating them alone. But can drinking juice alone for such a long period be good for you? As cleanses and detoxes cut out junk food from your diet completely, they give your digestive system a well-deserved break. Successfully completing a juice cleanse can quickly show you the health benefits of getting enough vitamins. You will feel more awake, active and glowing. (Healthier food options are great for your complexion.) Once you’ve experienced such positive results, you could be inspired to live a more healthy lifestyle in general. The psychological benefits may well be just as effective and influential as the physical improvements you’ll witness.

However, you don’t need to go to extremes and completely cut solid foods out of your diet to see positive effects. If you don’t fancy a ten day fast, then one juice day a week might be something to consider. Or perhaps one glass a day, alongside your normal, balanced diet and lifestyle. Anything is better than nothing, and your body will thank you for it.

    Food For Thought

Once you’ve decided that drinking healthy yet delicious drinks is something that appeals to you and sounds right up your street, you’ll have to start thinking up some recipes. Nobody wants plain orange or plain apple juice every single day. Mix it up a bit. Don’t forget that fruit isn’t the only optional. Vegetable juices can be delicious and provide you with other, sugar-free options. Here are some ideas to get you started.

    Pineapple, apple, and spinach

A lot of people aren’t fond of spinach, but the pineapple and apple in this recipe will mask the flavor. Spinach is high in vitamin K, vitamin A, potassium, magnesium, iron, copper and dietary fiber. All of which will help you to keep strong. Think of Popeye, poster boy for the health benefits of the leafy veg. All of these ingredients will be available at your local supermarket or fruit market. Apples and spinach are particularly cheap, so this one won’t break the bank.

    Apple, carrot, and ginger

A juice fanatic’s classic. Try this one to perk you up in the morning, rather than your normal cup of coffee. The strong flavors will kick you awake and leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the day. Ginger, in particular, is packed with natural antioxidants and will banish toxins from your body. If you’re feeling a little blocked up then definitely give this recipe a try. Ginger is a great, natural decongestant.

Don’t forget to check out this week’s update of my program on how to eat right for your body type and mindset.

Health Lessons We Can Learn From Celebs

When you think of celebrity health tips, all sorts of crazy things probably come to mind. A lot of the ones you read about or hear on the news are those that are weird enough to be noteworthy. They usually involve a strange diet or doing odd things to various body parts. But you can learn more from celebs about how to look after your health than the odd things they sometimes come out with. Many people in the public eye are excellent at looking after themselves. Although, a lot of them have plenty of help to do it. You may not be on a VIP budget, but you could still pick up some valuable tips from the stars.

    heart-care-1040229_640

    Be Empowered About Your Health

Some of the lessons we can learn from celebrities about health are pretty big ones. Taking control of your health and empowering yourself has to be one of the best ones you can learn. For an amazing example of this, we can look at the journey that Angelina Jolie has been on in the last few years. She underwent some serious procedures after discovering she carried the BRCA1 gene. It’s a gene that greatly increases the chance of both breast cancer and ovarian cancer. She had to make a series of tough decisions but ultimately did what she thought was best for her and her family. We could all learn to empower ourselves more when it comes to our health. And there are several ways you can do that.

One way to feel more empowered is to do your own research. If you’re unwell, or even when you’re healthy, you can find out about the best ways to look after yourself. You can ensure that you’re aware of treatment options you have and how you can be as healthy as possible. However, you have to be careful about the sources you use. You can also feel more empowered by working actively with your doctor if you have to see them. Plus, if you don’t like them, you can always ask to see someone else.

    Have a Fitness Routine

There are probably few celebrities that don’t have some kind of fitness routine. Of course, many of them have personal trainers. That means they have someone to motivate them all the time, which is necessary if you have a busy schedule. You have a busy life too, though, even if you don’t spend your time touring or filming. It can be a struggle to fit regular exercise into your lifestyle. But having someone to motivate you is a great idea. If you think hiring a personal trainer is out of the question, it could be much more realistic than you imagine. You might not be able to hire a trainer to the stars, but there are other options. Look into personal trainers at your gym, or see if you can join a local boot camp.

If a trainer isn’t an option, there are other people who can keep you motivated. Working out with friends can be a great way to keep up your fitness routine. However, you have to pick friends you know you can rely on. It won’t work if you just talk each other into being lazy!

    smile-1034157_640 (1)

    Look After Your Teeth

Teeth are a contentious issue when it comes to celebrities. For many people, the teeth of Hollywood are just too unnatural. They’re too white, straight and even. However, we can still learn a lesson from celebs who take care of their teeth. You don’t have to have an artificial smile to have healthy gnashers. You might not want veneers, but you definitely don’t want fillings either. It’s a good idea to consider getting dental insurance. If you live in the UK, it can be hard to rely on NHS dentists. Guardian Life has some great info about dental insurance and looking after your teeth. Your teeth need to last you a lifetime, so caring for them is worth it. And maybe you can make them look prettier too if you want to.

    Managing Your Mental Health

Having a therapist is another thing that we can be dismissive of when it comes to celebrities. It can sometimes seem like everyone in the US has a therapist, regardless of whether they have any serious problems in their life. The notion of having a therapist to discuss your day to day emotions can seem pretty strange. It’s even weirder in the UK, where it can be hard to access mental health services. However, if you think about it, it’s not such a bad idea. Having a disinterested party who can listen to you and perhaps offer advice can be useful. Most of us probably aren’t going to start seeing a therapist regularly. But we can learn to take charge of our mental health, as well as our physical health. It’s important to find things that help to keep you mentally healthy. It could be anything from meditating to just having open talks with friends and family.

    health-apple01-lg

Be More Open About Your Health

Some might say that a lot of celebrities are too open about their health and that they should keep it private. But often when celebs talk about their health, they act as great advocates for others. It can be tough to open up about any health problems you’re having. It’s particularly hard when it’s a mental health issue. Many celebrities have spoken candidly about their health problems. They range from drug addiction to cancer, lupus, and depression. Some of them might have preferred to stay quiet. However, their openness is often very helpful to people going through the same thing. It’s for you to decide how open you want to be about your health. But don’t let stigma hold you back from talking about it if you want to share.

Ask for Help When You Need It

Another mental health lesson we can learn from celebrities is the importance of seeking help. Unfortunately, we often learn this one from watching celebs who aren’t asking for help. We’ve all seen reports of a celebrity who’s struggling. Seeing what they’re going through can feel pretty invasive. Fortunately, most of us don’t have the added pressure of public scrutiny. Although, sometimes it can feel like you do. Asking for help can be hard, but it’s important to do it before it gets even harder.

Give Your Body the Fuel It Needs

We hear a lot of stuff about crazy celebrity diets. But if you want to learn some lessons about healthy eating, don’t look to the celebs who drink hot sauce or live on organic almonds. There are many celebrities who take great care of their bodies and still eat a healthy diet. It’s a good idea to consider those celebs who stay fit all the time, whether it’s for a role or for themselves. Most of them are very sensible about ensuring they get the fuel they need to keep their body going. They might be strict about what they eat, by avoiding too much fat and sugar. But they make sure their diet has the right nutrients to help them stay fit.

Stay Fit for a Good Cause

Finding the motivation to stay fit can be difficult. If you find it hard to find a reason to work out, consider what a lot of celebrities do. Signing yourself up for a charity event or even creating your own goal can give you something to aim for. By raising money for charity, you can feel great about yourself. You’ll be keeping fit and doing something for a good cause. Celebrities often do impressive feats, like running hundreds of miles or completing a triathlon. But you don’t have to set yourself a huge challenge. Running a 5k could be just as challenging when you’re trying to get fit.

    Be Selective About Health Tips

If there’s one thing we should all learn from celebrities, it’s not to believe everything we hear. You’ve no doubt heard some pretty dubious health tips from various celebs. Some of them sound crazy and ridiculous right away, and those are the ones you’re unlikely to try. But others can sound convincing, and you might be curious to try them. However, even advice that seems like it could work could be complete rubbish. Before you try anything recommended by a celebrity, do some research on whether it works. And don’t just rely on celebrity news sites, either! Try to find legitimate, trustworthy sources that can back up their claims with evidence. Celebs can be guilty of spreading a lot of misinformation. At best, it could lead to you spending money on something that doesn’t work. And at worst, it could have the opposite effect to what you were hoping for. Following the wrong diet or exercise routine could make you less healthy than you are now.
Celebrities can teach us a lot about looking after our health, even when they don’t intend to. Just make sure you’re learning the right lessons and not falling for the make believe ones.

    Midweek Me-Time – Top 5 Spas

Hi VIPS! We’re shaking things up a bit this week. Usually we blog about our fave new music at this time of the week because that energises us.

But variety is the spice of life and a change is just as good as a holiday. Also, Zoe’s at a spa tonight so we wanted to do a blog post that was relevant.

If you fancy a break from it all without spending money (and time) to travel abroad then a one-day or one-night pampering treat can be as effective as a full holiday. The stars do it all the time. This is where they go:

    Chewton Glen

    chewton-glen-hotel-spa

Zoe’s here tonight and they’re not paying us to do a review – we just found out about it after learning the spa was a favourite with Kate Moss and Gwyneth Paltrow. It was named Best Spa Hotel 2016 by The Caterer, The Good Hotel Guide 2016’s award for Best Spa and International 5 star hotel – Best Spa Hotel in the UK.among other awards. We’ll do a full review when we’re back to let you know what it was actually like and whether or not it lived up to the hype.

Check out Chewton Glens website for location / prices.

    The Grove

    The-Grove

Because of it’s proximity to the Warner Bros film set, this hotel is often packed with film stars. American A’listers like Tom Cruise and Cate Blanchett move in while filming and make The Grove their home. The spa, Sequoia, has a black mosaic indoor swimming pool – it’ so sexy. It has a golf course in it’s grounds and we once spotted Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones having a game!

Check out The Grove’s website for location / prices.

    Stoke Park Hotel

    Stoke-Park

Two James Bond movies, Goldfinger (1964) and Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) were filmed at Stoke Park. Daniel Craig used the gym every day while he was filming Casino Royale and Matthew Perry from FRIENDS has played tennis on the indoor courts.

It’s very close to London so you can go into town if it gets too boring!

Check out Stoke Park hotel’s website for location / prices.

    Ragdale Hall

    ragdale-hall

Ragdale Hall is one of the best hotels in the North of England. As it’s private, celebs come hear for a real break as they know they’re unlikely to be disturbed. It’s the sort of dress that you can for  complete detox because it’s so relaxing.

Check out Ragdale Hall’s website for location / prices.

    Champney’s

    champ-hghouse

Champney’s is the quintessential Britsh spa. If you visit in the morning you may never take as you’ll be in a white towelling robe all day. It’s a large hotel but it’s also welcoming and you’ll love the massage and facial treatments.

Check out Champney’s website for location / prices.

Now have a fabulous day and plan some me-time for yourself. You deserve it. It doesn’t have to be soon, because planning something for a few weeks / months time gives you something to look forward to.

We won’t be updating tomorrow – Thurs morning – but we will be back on Friday with a super duper blog post about the full week’s celebrity gossip!

  • How To Live A Celeb Life NOW

The award for the best VIPs goes to…? You guessed it, the celebrities that we admire and adore. If you could have the celeb lifestyle without the pressure from the press and the media, that would be the dream, wouldn’t it? Well, perhaps you can, and before you get the wrong idea, this possibility doesn’t hang on you doubling your income overnight. While that would certainly help, we think there are ways to get the celeb lifestyle on the budget that you have right now. Let’s look at some of the best ways to do this.

    8369348299_840756d37b_z

Go On Amazing Getaways To Incredible Places

One of the biggest parts of the celeb lifestyle are those incredible trips that they take abroad. They go away for weeks and are soon spotted on some of the most beautiful beaches around the world. You might think that those holidays cost the celebs a fortune, and you’d be right of course. But there is a way that can get the same holiday for a fraction of the price. It’s called Black Friday, and it happens once a year, in November. On Black Friday, holiday prices on Expedia and other sites fall through the floor. You will then be able to afford to go wherever you want without breaking your vacation budget.

    Follow Their Trends

You may not be able to afford everything that celebs do, but there are certain things that will match your budget. For instance, a number of celebrities have jumped on the bandwagon of acupuncture. Sofia Vergara and many others have been spotted visiting an acupuncturist. If you don’t know, Acupuncture is a Chinese medicine that is believed to relief tension built up in the body. It doesn’t cost a fortune, and you can arrange it from most spa places.

Alternately, you may want to look into vaping. A lot of the celebs including Katy Perry and Lindsay Lohan have been spotted vaping. Vaping is a new smoking trend and has proved to be very popular with celebrities. However, unlike owning a private jet or even an island, it’s an affordable possibility. E-liquid will cost you no more than ten dollars while a starter kit will only amount to forty or fifty.

    Replicate Their Style

Contrary to what some may believe, celebrities don’t have all their clothes custom made for them. Most of the clothes that they wear out and about can be bought from stores on the highstreet. That’s why, if you live in New York, you may see some celebs in your favorite clothing stores. Although, it’s true that many have personal shoppers. But if you want to replicate the style of a celeb there are plenty of sites online that will tell you what they are wearing and where to buy it.

    Use A Stylist

Or, if you have a little more cash, you could spend one weekend using a personal stylist. Celebs use stylists to perfect their own style, giving them an image that is sellable. Talking to their stylist is a big part of the celeb routine so if you want to feel like them, try using one. Typically, they’ll cost a few hundred an hour, so it’s up to you whether you think it’s worth it.

5 Things To Research Before A ‘Boob Job’

Today, feminism is not merely about the desire for gender equality, or surviving independently as an individual, but a lifestyle choice. it would be justifiable to assert that women have gone overboard in pursuit of ‘Sex Appeal’.

Many women get a breast implant or lift done in order to escape their insecurities that arose following a surgery, pregnancy or thoughts of not being sexy enough for men. According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, surgical modification of breasts has become the most popular cosmetic surgery over the past decade.

    breasts

Why do you think so many women these days are opting for breast implants? Has it become more of a vice or a genuine necessity? Whatever the reason behind its rise in popularity, there should be a certain level of insight into the matter before one decides to go under the knife.

Remember, the advertising tagline ‘Dream Big’ does not provide real insight into breast augmentation. As knowledge is power, I’ve listed a few important things you need to keep in mind before getting a boob job.

    1. There’s No Guarantee on Long-Term Results

Implants don’t last forever. There are chances that implants may begin to leak and lose their shape over time. There is another phenomenon called ”Scar shell” that forms around the inserted implant; causing the shape of your breasts to become distorted. These cases will require another surgery to get them replaced. Other factors like pregnancy, weight loss, additional surgery or breast feeding can also contribute towards needing follow-up surgeries.

    1. It is a Serious Surgery:

You will have to undergo all the steps of any major surgery, and there are definitely risks involved. Though risks of major complications are rare, one should be aware of them beforehand. Recovery is going to involve pain, soreness, numbness and can take longer than anticipated. Some women can take weeks, months and (very rarely) years to completely recover and start feeling comfortable with the enhancements. If your job doesn’t allow you flexibility for taking time off, or it involves manual labor, then you might reconsider your decision before undergoing breast augmentation.

    1. They Really are “Fake”:

“Fake” isn’t really the word you’ll want to hear after going through a painful process, but let’s face it, they are going to be recognized as “manmade” and“artificial”. Not only will they feel different, but people will see you differently afterwards. Your image can change from an intellectual woman to a sexy woman. This judgmental attitude from both genders can make you feel frustrated. Therefore, it is better to be prepared in advance for situations you will likely encounter after coming out of the operating room.

    1. Total Customization:

One of the blessings about this surgery is that you can enjoy choosing the size you think suits you. Implants can be smaller, more natural or bigger.

All you have to do is stuff your bra with bead-filled neoprene sacks and see how much you can comfortably carry. You need to take notice of your skin’s elasticity and body type. Keep your goals realistic. Don’t expect to jump from size A to D.

    1. Do You Have Existing Medical Conditions?

It is of great benefit to know your genetic history before you opt for a boob job. A family history of any significant health conditions (i.e. breast cancer, obesity, smoke related medical issues or autoimmune disorders) will require notifying your surgeon prior to the surgery. Studies have shown that all of these factors can increase risk of complications during and after the surgery.
