There are no easy answers as to how to overcome challenging times, but here are some things you could try to help tackle your anxiety and keep yourself looking ahead.
Reach out for help
When you are going through a difficult time, it’s important not to keep things to yourself and to seek help if at all possible. Whether it’s speaking to a friend or family member, making an appointment with your doctor, or even finding help through the Anxiety and Depression Association of America, there are lots of sources of help out there. If you are coping with a specific illness or situation, it’s worth seeing if there are local support groups so you can connect to others going through the same thing.
Consider taking supplements or medication
While you may not have considered taking something for anxiety before, if you are going through a particularly difficult time, then you may want to consider taking something in the short term to help you through. Don’t try to do everything
If you are going through a rough patch, it’s OK to drop certain things, from hobbies to volunteer work, until you feel better. Don’t try to cram things into your schedule in an attempt to distract yourself. Make sure you have time for yourself and aren’t wearing yourself out. Once the difficult times are over, you can start to pick things up once again.
