Everyone likes saving money, don’t they? It doesn’t matter if you’re Beyonce or a beauty therapist, if you save money on a handbag then you have more to spend on something else (maybe even another handbag?) And then there’s the thrill of knowing you’ve beaten the system in some way and got a ‘special price’.
Now imagine the joint thrill of finding a luxury designer item and getting it cheap. New website Cherry Edit has the answer. For example, you could get a Mulberry Bayswater bag like this for £880 instead of £1100.
I attended the website’s launch party at pretty new London club Cafe Kaizen to get some more info:
The dresscode was ‘accessories’ so I wore some cute wing-shaped ear-rings alongside a Myleene Klass for Littlewoods leather and lace party dress. (Available at Very.co.uk now)
Cherry Edit is the work of two fabulous London ladies. Hershey Pascaul (below) who you may recognise from her style and beauty writing at OK! online, and Tessa Fiorucci who has years of experience in the designer / luxury goods world.
The main purpose of the party was to showcase some of the bargains. If you can’t afford a bag then there’s everything from purses to shoes and savings to be had on everything. This Marc By Marc Jacobs purse was £175 but its available on Cherry Edit for £140.
And what do you need when you have good accessories? A healthy body and a big smile complete the confidence-boost that quality accessories bring you. Fake Bake had a stand at the party, which reminded us just why we love their self-tan products. (My favourite product is the 60 minute tan as it develops so quickly and you can do it in the afternoon and go out that evening).
Then we discovered the Lava Shells stand, and my sister and I had a massage during the party! It’s a bit like a hot stone massage but the heat stays in the lava shell for ages. I LOVED it! Visit their website to find out more.
There was also a nail bar and information about the Beverly Hills Formula teeth whitening products, which I am totally gonna try.
Cafe Kaizen opens later this month, a stone’s throw from Oxford Circus, and I would visit it again even if there wasn’t a party going on. Check out this sushi – mmm!
But remember, the main reason for the party is to show we can all get designer accessories for less, so it’s getting easier to look like a celebrity.
Plus the celebs are using it themselves. Here’s MiC’s Rosie Fortescue and singer Delilah at the launch party
