In past years, Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland has been a popular attraction amongst the likes of One Direction, the Beckhams, Tom Cruise, Chris Martin, Gwen Steffani and Uma Thurman. Celebrity VIPs and their families love to experience the fairytale magic of Winter Wonderland.
Tonight sees the celebrity opening of the wonderland, and each year countless celebrities from far and wide (including Nicole Kidman) and many homegrown icons (such as Girls Aloud) are seen enjoying the rides and sights. One Direction apparently loved the ghost train in previous years!
The gates will open to the public this Friday (22nd November) at 5pm, and tickets can be purchased here. Attraction tickets are on sale for Ice Skating (which has proved popular with Fearne Cotton), The Magical Ice Kingdom, the Giant Observation Wheel or Zippos Circus. We recommend booking tickets in advance to make sure you don’t miss out!
The wonderland attraction is returning for six weeks, so even if you can’t try your hand at spotting a celeb or two as they enter tonight, you never know who you might bump into visiting the park over the next few weeks.
Winter Wonderland is free to enter, and this year they’ve promised even more entertainment and new attractions than before. As well as rides and ticketed extras, there’s the chance to just enjoy the scenery, do some shopping at the Christmas Markets or just warm up on a mulled wine and treat yourself to some festive food. There is always free entertainment on offer too, so there’s even the chance to enjoy some live music.
Winter Wonderland will be open 10am till 10pm every day until 5th January (excluding Christmas day).
