Here at LLAVIP, we were pretty excited to hear that one of our favourite movies, one of favourite songs, one of our favourite pass-times (theatre) and one of our favourite singers would all be coming together!
Showing at the Adelphi theatre, Beverley Knight – famous for hits such as Coulda Shoulda Woulda and No Man’s Land – joined the cast of The Bodyguard on 9th September and will be starring in the West End hit until March 2014.
The singer is taking on Whitney Houston’s famous role of Rachel Marron, which made the song “I Will Always Love you” one of the late Whitney’s biggest hits following the 1992 movie.
And guess what – this means it’s possible for us all to meet Beverley, who has sold over a million albums in the UK. Our top Meet&Greet tip is to try waiting by the stage door for autographs and photos. Often actors and actresses are more than happy to spare a couple minutes for their fans.It can sometimes require persistence and patience but Beverley is so lovely, we’re sure she will stop if she sees you.
Beverley Knight truly is one of the most successful British singers ever. She was awarded an MBE in 2007 for her services to British music and her charity work, has four gold certified albums, won three MOBO Awards and has been nominated for Best Female at the Brit Awards three times and twice for the Mercury Music Prize.
