The DIY Celeb Manicure: Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paint

You rarely see the likes of Rihanna and Katy Perry without a perfect manicure to complete their outfits, and now you can get the look at home for under a fiver! Following last week’s post on the most expensive nail polish in the world, this time we’re bringing you the scoop on one of the most exciting budget beauty launches of the year so far: Barry M’s Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints.

Glossy, polished nails are something we all love the idea of. Nails Inc, OPI and Seche Vite have all come close to giving us that salon shine, but they just can’t seem to quite perfect it. Here’s where Barry M step in. Their new Hi-Shine Nail Paints combine a bang on trend colour range with a glossy finish that has never been achieved by any other budget beauty brand to date… fact (trust me, I’ve tried and tested more than I dare think about!)

Two coats gives you a lovely, opaque finish and dries like a dream; honestly, after just a few minutes drying time you’re good to go. The high shine effect means no topcoat is required, and they still remain chip free for a good couple of days!

The highlight of the range has to be the orange toned red – Satsuma. Reminiscent of Chanel’s Holiday nail polish, it’s perfect for brightening up a dreary day whilst remaining classy enough to wear to the office. If you prefer something a little more neutral, then Lychee (the most perfect nude) is the one to go for. Then again, at just £3.99 each, you can afford to pick up a few!

So, cancel that Shellac  appointment and dash down to your nearest Boots or Superdrug instead, these are not to be missed and they’re selling fast!
