Cate Blanchett looked almost bride like as she walked the green carpet at The Hobbit film premiere in Leicester Square. The actress, who plays Galdriel, could now well spark a P-Middy (ie Pippa Middleton) derrierre craze as her backless Givency gown flattered her figure in all the right places. Here’s a closer look:
We don’t know where you can get a dress like this unless you have a lot of money, let’s be honest, but we do know the secret to how she keeps her figure in shape. The Australian actress told us she was a big fan of Pilates and bikram yoga. Maybe that’s something to bear in mind over the festive season.
Cate was rewarded for her fashion efforts with a greeting from Prince William, who gave the premiere a royal seal of endorsement. Sadly he was without his wife Kate, who is still battling morning sickness, but William put on a brave face for the press and photographers. He’s such a good ambassador for the UK – the show must go on and all that.
And talking of good role models, we do love Andy Serkis (Gollum).
Andy spent almost as long as Tom Cruise signing autographs for fans, despite the bitter cold. However, he did reveal to us he had thermal underwear from M&S. We’re not sure if he was joking or not, but we’re not mocking it. We’re just impressed by his commitment to fans.
On the other hand, we weren’t impressed by McFly’s outfits. As the carpet was green and they were wearing red, we thought it was festive but they look a bit like little elves. And the velvet looks itchy…Sorry, guys.
And talking of fashion no-nos,what happened to JB from JLS’s bow tie. His gorgeous girlfriend Chloe Tagney was half-grinning and half-thinking she wished she could grab the tie and straighten it out. Bless! We’re a bit psychic with relationships and pregnancies (ie we knew Kate Middleton was pregnant ages ago) and we just KNOW an engagement announcement will come from this couple over Christmas and New Year. What do you think?
