Tonight – 12 November – you need to make a date with your TV. At 630pm on Channel 4, you will see one of the most dramatic storylines ever in Hollyoaks. Three different weddings are due to take place, but there’s a bus crash, a death and lots and lots of blood, sweat and tears.
The soap’s Ruby Button (played by actress Anna Shaffer) is crucial to the plot as she’s one of the brides-to-be. But will she survive the crash?
I visited the set of Hollyoaks and tracked Ruby down to the classroom of the college to get an exclusive insight into what it was like filming the crash scene and how she found it having to cry over and over again. Oh, and she also shares her New Year’s Resolution for 2013:
